Official City v Fulham thread

some supporters really are too bluetinted!!!! This lineup and the players that was available did a good job in a very difficult away match... no player that had creativity in the team available... Ireland has played way to many games this autumn with no rest... SWP the same... they need to be hardened over time and seasons...

And Fulham are no mugs on their ground... just look at their record this autumn and look what the form they are in compared to us... + they are only playing one match each week while we are playing two...

we need strengthening badly but that said we cant get ahead of themselves we are NOT there yet!!!

Spot on gman!

If Mark Hughes buys Prem shite like Warnock and Santa Cruz in January he can fuck right off and go find himself another job

i think given the injuries we had we did well, closed them down and stopped them playing their normal game. a point against the side with the most home wins in the league this season ain't bad. i think we played for a point and if we nicked it then it was a bonus. i'm happy with that, did the best we could with what we had and given a bit of luck could have won it

The worrying thing is if we are happy for a point, we certainly arnt moving in the right direction and will never have a winning mentality.
Once again even with the squad depleted, players in the wrong positions, not bringing Jo on etc etc maybe hughes doent like the Brazillians and players in competant positions.
A point is good at the moment, it wasnt nice to see the constant hit and hope but Zab played a good un.

Well that was fucking wank!

Hughes can go and get fucked as far as I am concerned!

We are awful to watch and look like we are void of all ideas, he plays men out of position so he can can accomodate the likes of Vassell. We look no better now than we did 6 months ago, I thought hughes was supposed to be a good motivator? Yet I see us still turn in the same dour performances week in week out and it appears that it matters not who is in charge because the players still have the same mentality when they go out on the pitch, for this to change we need to once and for all get rid of the shit that has poisoned this club for far too many years, that means the likes of Ball, Vassell and even the likes of Dunne need to go. Before you Dunne lovers tell me I am talking out of my arse consider what Robinho said during the week how we need a winning mentality well for that to happen tou need to rid your team of losers and Dunne is a born loser, look at the difference between the likes of him and Zabaleta, Zab is a winner, you can see that every time he makes a tackle or a run he does it with conviction, Dunne has no confidence because he aint good enough, same with Vass and Ball......BORN LOSERS!

Major changes are required in Jan if you think 2 or 3 players added to what we have will push us towards the top 4 you are deluded, the follwing are not good enough

TBH
DUNNE
BALL
GARRIDO (although is decent back up)
DIDI
VASSELL
BENJANI
EVANS

when you consider the 8 above were all involved in some capacity today a draw looks a fucking great result!

The only players good enough to take us where we want to go are

Richards (if he gets his head down)
Vinny
Zabaleta
Ireland
SWP
Robinho

And the possibles who the jury is still out on

Hart
Jo
Sturridge

I may have missed others but when I look at the above it doesnt look that rosy at the moment does it?

...For me this is a nailed on 1-1 draw and even if we do lose (which I don't think we will) we are still loaded and ADUG will surely want to leave us a New Year's present or two to cheer us up.

Ahem.

Just call me Lawro :)

At least we are finding our level. The galacticos will be flocking to join us on this evidence!

Wasn't too unhappy with the starting lineup given the players we had not available.

Not too unhappy with the draw either, it could easily have been worse.

But I thought we had a decision to make going into the tail end of the match, really push on and try for the win, or be happy with what we've got and focus on protecting that.

I thought we chose the latter, exactly the mentality that Robinho was talking about.
