Official City v Fulham thread

The positives are that we got a point away against a team that has lost only one game at home, and we did it with at least three of our first team regulars out.

The negative is that our consistency is proving to be very worrying. What the reason for that could be one of many.

Arrrggghhhh I wish people would stop banging on about how good Fulham are at home. It means naff all, you don't play a team on their previous form you play the team that is there on the day and they were crap. The win was there for us but we just couldn't take it. Against a better team we would have lost today.

Fulham were there for the taking and we didn't get the job done.
A point away from home is normally alright but not when the opposition are as dire as Fulham were.
What gets me is Hughes bought Bentley and used him effectively on the right of midfield.
He has SWP who is better than Bentley in that position and plays him in the middle, it just doesn't make sense.

If Mark Hughes buys Prem shite like Warnock and Santa Cruz in January he can fuck right off and go find himself another job
You are a complete asshole. With the limited resources available, I was well pleased with a battling 1-1 draw at the place where Spurs were beaten at the peak of their form. Warnock and Santa Cruz would strengthen our squad nicely, although Diarra would be more suitable. I said ages ago that we should have signed Stephen Appiah on a free. His aggression in midfield is what we lack right now especially as Superman is getting tired. Hopefully Gelson and Johnson will soon be back.

Damn!1 I must have missed the last couple of minutes where all our players started playing well and Didi got a hat-trick to take his score up to 8.

Maybe Hamann shouldn't have got an 8 but he was probably our best midfield today, yeah he might not just play it simple all game, but that's what he does well.

Here's my new ratings for the Hughes out crew:

Hart - 4
Zabaleta - 3
Ben-Haim - 2
Dunne - -5
Ball - -15
Vassell - 0
Hamann - -10
SWP - 4
Kompany - 4
Ireland - 4
Benjani - 1
Evans - 0

More like it ;P

nah, I'm still in the Hughes in camp but I disagree with you regarding hammann. But I dont mean to say your opinion is wrong, mine is just different.
I thought Zab was our best player with mentions for Hart and Dunne although thats not to say they were particularly good.
