Official City v Fulham thread

Despite a stronger team hughes has successfully taken us backwards well done Hughesy what a fine job you're doing

Man of the match has to be Zabaleta. Made brilliant runs down the right on many occasions, defended well.
SWP didn't have a great match, but to be fair he was out of position. Ireland wasn't what we've seen of him. Vassell, as usual, was shite.
I'll take the point.

Happy with a point. This isn't the fulham of last season, for example (and we only got 1 point from them in total then). Second best home team in the league, and with our injury problems I'll take a draw there. Not a memorable match and too bad we couldn't do more.

Man for man we had the better players out there, yet because of the managers tactics we were never going to get anything better than a draw out of the game. Inexcusable.

Pathetic.

Hughes needs January more than we do. He'll be hoping to buy his way out of trouble, since he has no idea what to do with what he has right now.

Vass and Benjani contributed nothing (the goal was all about the cross), and I'd like to know why they stayed on for so long.

I'm sure Robinho was impressed with our winning mentality today.

i think given the injuries we had we did well, closed them down and stopped them playing their normal game. a point against the side with the most home wins in the league this season ain't bad. i think we played for a point and if we nicked it then it was a bonus. i'm happy with that, did the best we could with what we had and given a bit of luck could have won it

i'm not happy with a point we set out with an ultra defensive lineup and went 1-0 up inside the first 10 minutes we should have controlled the game and defended better, back 4 apart from zab were dire as were the majority of the team

Only positive from today would be Zab... thought he was quality.. shot more and was in dangerous positions more than most of our "attack minded" players.

THAT is spot on, and THAT is the problem.

Fulham are one of the form teams in the Premiership who have one of the best home records in the Premiership (only lost 1)

We have lost game after game away from home, and took an injury ravaged team there.

Good point. Well Done Hughes.
