'Triffic player, would love to have him in my team, would be a great partner for Remy, but he's a Chelsea player so I can't speak about that....

You forgot that "we were after him before he came to Liverpool but they blown us out of the water"

Being serious here, Liverpool actually blew US out of the water for him. Sven wanted him but the fee, wages and stature of the clubs at the time swerved it pretty easily.

How times change...

It's great watching the decline of Liverpool

Are we really that scared of FIFA fair play? It seems to have stopped our ambitious transfer policy of going after the best.

Not scared no, we are complying with the regulations and are on course to do so. The days of signing 3 world class players in one window have gone.

Summer will be our window, quality younger players added with one major signing imo.

I think the FFP rules is something we obviously have to respect, but I don't think they are hampering us that much. Ferran seems to prioritize the financial aspects of our club more so than his predecessor (which is a very good thing). And I don't think he's interested in adding to our problems before he can solve the ones we already have. He and Txiki will build a squad of extremely high quality at the same time they're keeping the finances in place. That will probably mean no more silly transfer fees, less super stars but a higher lowest standard, lower wages and in the future club-trained young players to be integrated into our senior side.

Sneijder to Galatasaray is official according to the Italian journos on Twitter. Wouldn't drop his wage demands so no English club came in for him, lol.

Rags have agreed a £15m deal for Wilfried Zaha. [according to the Mirror]

EDIT- @SkyFootball
Crystal Palace have denied suggestions a deal has been struck for winger Wilfried Zaha to join Manchester United.
