Official : Leicester have SACKED Claudio Ranieri

I understand their frustrations after an exceptional last season but looking at their squad, they are pretty much placed in the league where they should be.

Mancini will go there, probably buy Hart and Balotelli for them.

On a serious note, it's a shocking decision to sack the manager who won them the title. They were never going to repeat that, he'd already polished 11 turds, what more did the board expect?

Their board are morons. Anyone remember them on the pitch with the league trophy trying to hog all the limelight?

I don't really think it's disgraceful as others are saying. It was a freak title win but that doesn't give you a free pass for the rest of your time there. He sold their best midfielder and failed to replace him, let the players rest on their laurels instead of urging them on and didn't improve the squad when he should of known everyone would be gunning for them this season. Put it this way if Pep won us the title and next season we are on the edge of being relegated we'd all be screaming for his head as well.

Ranieri isn't blameless but they should at least give until the end of the season, or should of pulled the trigger just before the transfer window opened which gives the new manager a bit of time settling in and bringing some new recruits.
