No we wouldn't. Or at least only the idiots would.

And we aren't Leicester. Don't mean to be disrespectful but their rightful place is bottom half, maybe bottom 5. Last season was a freak. This season back to normal.
 
Don't see why this is such a shock - they are in serious free fall, no goals scored in 2017 and heading for relegation ... how bad to they have to get before the owners can sack him ?

Bottom half maybe but they are almost in the drop zone. How many managers have been sacked cos the team are close to being relegated? Only got himself to blame really. Their fans and the club would have accepted a Champs League run and mid table after last season but I'm not gonna vilify them cos they don't want to be relegated.
 
I'm a little shocked, still in the champions league and very much in the tie, they could have gone on a run again and finished mid-table. That's nowadays football for you, we've seen it with countless Chelsea managers, Pellegrini and Mancini, not even a title can keep you safe, unless you're Wenger

Only slightly surprised, but not completely unexpected. If the board were going to act it would be sooner rather than later. If they had let him stay on and they go down, then they have no place to hide. At least this way they have made positive steps to try and ensure they stay up. If they still go down, they can blame the new guy. Shrewd.

I wonder what kind of confidentiality clause the tinker man has signed though? I bet he has a lot to tell from last season.......
