Official Liverpool Vs. manchester city thread.

We were incrediblt today. All the points have already been said but if we played like that every week just imagine how good we could be!

Second half was nerve wrecking.

Someone tell me where Zab was playing? I couldn't work it out.

I can never figure it out either.....?

I think he should play right back or not at all. Crackin lad, just not a midfielder for me. Micah was good today

Nice result in the end!!

Fantastic result today, listened to it on the radio, sounds like the de jong and kompany pairing is gonna be something special

I would of been happy with a draw before the game but i'm a bit dissapointed we didn't hang on for the 3 points, it would of felt slightly better if liverpool scored first and we equalised rather than us taking the lead, all we need now is consistency and hope today wasn't just one of them one off performance we do now and again

well done lads, well battled and now we kick on from here and try to save the rest of the season.

My ratings, probably being a bit generous but they all put in a great shift and all played well:

Given - 8.
Richards - 8.
Dunne - 8.
Onuoha - 8.
Bridge - 7.
de Jong - 9 MOM.
Zabaleta - 7.
Kompany - 9
Ireland - 8.
Robinho - 8.
Bellamy - 8.
Caicedo - 7.

I loved it when Nedum showed Robbie how it was done... Until the finish. He was trying the eyes again, I reckon.

De Jong's tackling was awesome. I mean they were proper "FUCKUN' GERRINDERR" tackles.

Ireland is Superman, without a doubt.

Bellamy is a nasty little shit. And I mean that in a good way. We've not had our own player-that-you-hate-to-play-against for years. He's everywhere, getting stuck in and frustrating them. Towards the end, the amount of space he created for himself and others was great.

Thought Robbie was okay. Even with 3 players on him at any given time, he still managed to retain possession... Sometimes.

Having said that...

Shit view.

What time were you in the ground? Were you stood outside the turnstile waiting for them to open?!!!

That was at about half past. :o

*Looks closely at picture*

14:26!

EDIT: Actually, you would think it would be a good view for the goal, but all the players were in the way! I was close enough to hear the net ripple though. ^_^

Only saw the highlights because i was in Middlesbrough all weekend.

Looked like we played really well at times.

Bit annoyed that Micah let Yossi get his cross in....again. Seriously annoying me with his seemingly cavalier approach to blocking crosses. Just seems to jog without really attempting a block.

It was a game both sides came away disappointed to have only drawn.

But Liverpool should have been winning by one or two at half-time at City's goal was the result of a nasty deflection.

So a draw was pretty fair, all-in-all.

The big winner was United though :o(
