I hope the people who slagged Hughes January signings off are watching!!

Would a 1-0 result against Boro prove anything one way or the other?

I am for keeping Hughes but it is even less evident than the score line would suggest as if it wasn't for Given the score would be about 3-1 to boro. I know Given is a hughes signing but you would not want to be so reliant on him. This is a poor overall performance against a very weak opponent, but with some excellent individual performances - Bellamy, Given, SWP, Ireland, but not much from the rest

When Bellamy goes out wide we seem to have nobody in the box. We need to commit men.

Maybe this will be adressed now with big phil in there.

Is it just me or does Ireland look afraid to shoot the ball lately? He is brilliant passer but just doesn't seem to take the opportunities in the box as quickly as "I" think he should anyhow.
