Think it's all a bit irrelevant. There is no way they will sack him.

The new owners are obviously aware of all the cynics having a pop at them. Only in it for the money, don't really care about the club, know nothing about football etc etc.

They want to establish themselves as credible owners. After the statement the new owner made, only a few weeks ago, about Hughes being the right man, 100% backing etc etc, how would they look if the first thing they did was to go back on their word? It ain't happenin.

That doesn't mean to say I don't want it to happen, I'm undecided on Hughes. My opinion has always been that our club needs a Mourinho type character. Someone who will burst through the door, tell the media they are the 'special' one - take all the pressure off the players...and almost overnight change the mentality of the club.

We've been 'nice' too long - hated clubs are normally winning ones.

Having said all that, the chances of Mourinho leaving Inter to come here are about the same as Hughes getting sacked. So I'm back to the beginning. It ain't happening.

sort it out on the car park near the gas works, all the yes's and no's have a battle on boxing day all the don't no's join in when you like.:)

Cheers for the reply. It got me a tad worried that i couldnt add up...especially considering i work in accounts ha!

The guy deserves untill january to sort out 'his' team if in february hes not produced the goods after hes bought players that he wants aka santa cruz who i can see coming a mile off.. If its not working then hes gotta go.

I'm really starting to hate our City fans, same shit every single day "Hughes out", "Who do you want in January", "Dunne out", you can just guess what threads are going to be up here, oh the originality.

This place is getting as bad as bloody Red Cafe, I'm starting to wonder how people here coped through us in 2nd Division, if they even supported us then, hell even the later Pearce days for that matter, again if they even supported us then. Remember Taggart was within a few games of getting sacked in his early days at the Rags, then look what happened there.

Maybe it's just that I don't want the ongoing managing revolving door system to continue, maybe it's just I feel Hughes can fix us, maybe it's just that I think that of the signings Hughes made most of them have been good signings, maybe it's just that I don't want to just agree for the sake of agreeing with a stranger on a (at the end of the day) pointless thread.

People can say Hughes is crap all they want, but the fact remains, he has won the same amount of important trophies in his MANAGERIAL career as we have in the past 30 years......0, so if he is crap because of that, what does that make us?

And if Hughes were to go, whatever would the "loyal" fans here have to cry and bitch about aimlessly each and every day like the good old armchair managers they are?

Let the bitching begin

To all those who have voted yes , exactly how long would you give him ? In the last poll 4-5 weeks ago a lot of the yes voters stated they would be worried if we were in the bottom 3 by Jan ! Its nearly squeaky bum time .

no it isn't, we will not at any point hit the bottom 3! only the squeeling tarts are flapping!

By my reckoning if Newcastle hold on to their win then we will be equal bottom 3 or does equal not count ???

No ones happy with our position at the moment but hes got to have a season.
All weve ever done here for years is chop and change managers and where has it got us.
Lets see what were like when hes strngthened what is at the moment a pretty small squad (with injuries).
2 or 3 wins and the table will look a lot different.
Yes from me.

Get him out...the sooner the better. I hate calling for managers to lose their jobs especially after a few months but the guy is a plank.

on current form those 2 or 3 wins will take 12 games to achieve! there is just goal difference separating us from a bottom 3 place. never mind chopping and changing if he isn't good enough what difference does time make?

No doubt people in the local press will pick up on this poll and you can all take credit for the "fans turn on hughes" headlines over the next few days.

We are having a bad time of it but hes inherited a lot of shit

Zab and Kompany are fantastic signings and at times weve played some amazing football this year.

Cant believe people arent willing to at least give the guy till January, have a word!
