Think it's all a bit irrelevant. There is no way they will sack him.
The new owners are obviously aware of all the cynics having a pop at them. Only in it for the money, don't really care about the club, know nothing about football etc etc.
They want to establish themselves as credible owners. After the statement the new owner made, only a few weeks ago, about Hughes being the right man, 100% backing etc etc, how would they look if the first thing they did was to go back on their word? It ain't happenin.
That doesn't mean to say I don't want it to happen, I'm undecided on Hughes. My opinion has always been that our club needs a Mourinho type character. Someone who will burst through the door, tell the media they are the 'special' one - take all the pressure off the players...and almost overnight change the mentality of the club.
We've been 'nice' too long - hated clubs are normally winning ones.
Having said all that, the chances of Mourinho leaving Inter to come here are about the same as Hughes getting sacked. So I'm back to the beginning. It ain't happening.
