Official match day thread Everton v City

Quite frankly, I cannot believe the nonsense I read on here. Anybody with an ounce of knowledge about football knows perfectly well that City will be out fought and out tackled by Everton, who always treat games with City as their own cup final. Nobody on our team will want to pick up an injury and Mario will be targetted for a straight red card, so it will be a lethargic performance. Our situation has not been helped by Mancini unwisely saying that we only need 4 points, implying that we can leave it to our last two games. Has he forgotten that Bolton have only lost twice at home all season, have just beaten Arsenal and have in Sturridge a striker in excellent form and with an axe to grind. Woe is me. We are doomed I tell you.

Records mean nothing..they are going to break someday and i dont see why it couldn't be today.

I believe we will win.

I personally don't believe any side can bully us when we play 4231. Too physically strong and robust in midfield. We only look soft when we play 442.

Fuck that, we'll do these fuckers today. We're on a roll and I see us winning our next 3 games, making it 6 on the spin by 5PM next Saturday. That delivers 4th at least, and the Cup. I'm going for 1-3 today.

you do know of course that over the last few seasons , Everton only start playing in January and since then Everton have won more games than City , 7 -6 ... lost fewer , 3 - 4 and scored more goals ... 27 to City's 20 . So ' Those Fuckers ' may just cause more of a hinderance than you think ... Incidentaly , Everton have only conceded 7 goals in their last 9 games .

It is going to be a tough match....our (being an Everton fan) season is pretty much over as we can't go any further up the table, but we still are playing some nice footy lately...to put things straight I never hated city, and I defended you when money came in with the simple fact that everyone would love that to happen to them....anyway, back to the match...

Even though Cahill and Arteta are back they are not on form so your biggest problem will be Osman who is doing great lately, both teams have not conceded many goals so I don't think there will many scored in this match either....being a Dzeko fan I hope he stays on the bench as long as possible as I have a feeling that he might get a goal again today, and as much as I like him I don't want him to score today...if he does I'd like it to be a late goal and Everton to win 2:1

Seamus Coleman is capable of giving Kolarov further nightmares,i expect him to be a big threat.

but offensively you have a chance on that everton's right side, as coleman and hibbert don't really work that well, neville and jagielka get pulled wide too often to help out so that might be a chance for silva to thread a few through ball into the striker's path...which I hope again doesn't happen :)
