Official Sunderland v Man City Thread

Why is Silva on the bench? 2 defensive midfielders is enough but 3? Barry out Silva in ffs.
A bit on the late side if you don't mind me saying????

Lol, anyways, Sunderlands keeper was amazing, they deserved points for that, buy not 3, ffs not 3!

Lol, oh well let's focus on Blackburn...

______________Hart_____________
Richards__Kompany__Kolo T__Lescott

_____________de Jong___________
______Yaya T_________Vieira_____
______________Milner___________
A Johnson (free role)_____________
______________Tévez___________

we need height, aggresion and back tracking in the midfeild, I'd like some height upfront as well, maybe Balo instead of AJ if he's fit, this will be harder than Sunderland given how Blackburn played against Arsenal.

Mancini is not to blame.
the players are.

we had our chances. thats how it goes. you win some you lose some. thats football. all we can do is try and move in the right direction now.

We must play 2 up front - A big bustling striker, with Tev just behind - if we want to start beating these mid to lower table teams away from home

If Roberto still wants to play one up front in away games (which I dont) then Im afraid Tevez aint the man to do it,

Continually asking Carlos to play a lone front role, with his back to goal - thus giving 4 big Neanderthals carte- blanche to kick him into the stand at every opportunity, simply isn't the way to go. (not imo at any rate)

if you dont take your chances away from home, you always run the risk of what happened yesterday.
carlos is not likely to miss a chance like that again, which would have likely set up a hard fought victory.
not duly concerned, played some good stuff at times, players are still getting used to the set up milner etc.
it will come

Mancini is the only one to blame. He picks the same negative formation, no matter who we play, home or away. He has failed to identify, that defenders were the pre season priority. Richards was to blame for nearly all the chances we provided Spurs with & we were lucky to take a point.

Remember last seasons derby at the swamp, deja vu once again at S.O.L & many other occasions as well. His concentration just isn't good enough.

Same to a lesser degree goes for Kompany, a safe bet he will drop at least one clanger per game. . . . . . . . . . & as for Lescott, well has anyone told him he is allowed to pass to a person wearing the same colour of shirt.

We have talent in abundance, some of which is sat on the bench because he picks 3 holding mids to protect our dodgy back 4, hence we don't create enough chances to win games like one yesterday.

His English hasn't improved either since he arrived, he says the same things every week & leaves tv viewers wondering what he meant, looks like it carries over to the players as well.

This will never get read by the majority cos I have only made 51 posts in 5 years on here but I would just like to thank city for our treatment yesterday.
On arriving at our hotel in Sunderland we noticed the team coach parked up! We only managed to book the same hotel as our mighty team.
Booked in and bumped into David platt who was very friendly as was the chaperone, big tall black guy who we see on the pitch before the teams come on.
Any way he told us when the players were going to board the coach and where best to stand for pics and autographs etc.
The lads came out to a handful of fans and they were great, especially yaya, viera, Jo, milner, tevez and Barry. Roberto was also excessible to us. Took some great photos.
Back in the hotel the chaperone wished us a great day and we headed to the ground.
Thanks city and the lads for a day to remember. Apart from the result. But sometimes its about enjoying yourselves isn't it.

If any of you were real man city supporters and not band wagon jumpers you would realise Sunderland have an excellent home record and Man City just thought they would turnip and win. Your players really need to roll up there super sleeves and show a lot more major major passion.
2 yards offside ?? clearly onside, safc are mint we dont need help from the ref thank you !
Was a poor penalty like even Barry Siddal holding a joint of dangly ham would have saved it !!
Arsenal and Spugs both lost at the S.O.L. last season and both went on to qualify for the champions league so dont despair just yet lads n lasses.

Took you ten years to beat us SMB. Our last 4 managers have 100% records at the SoL, Joe Royle was the last to lose.
