The very fact that you are actually trying to slag off Luka Modic as a player, says everything about your total lack of knowledge on football related matters, Luka Modric has been fantastic for Tottenham Hotspur over the last Six months or so.
He doesn’t get involved and he gets pushed off the ball too easily. I am married to a season ticket holder at Spurs who, I would imagine goes to more games than you do, and she’s not over-enamoured with him. I'd trust her opinion above that of any other Spurs fan I know. I am surrounded by Spurs fans at work and in my social life. Most don’t rate Modric that highly. In general, he’s considered as ‘good’ but over-priced, and some feel that he doesn’t suit the Prem.
In terms of attacking and allround midfielders…. Ireland (AKA Superman), Lampard, Essien, at least 4 Rag midfielders, Fabregas, Alonso, Gerrard, Barry and Arteta (I could go on) are all better than Modric. He’s good but there are several who are better. He wouldn’t get a start for us.
I won't openly slate a player because when I do, they tend to have good games against us.
Spurs fans are deluded are they,
Is that a rhetorical question? I believe the vast majority are deluded.
why don't you try and count the trophies that Spurs have WON,
For me, there are only two ‘major’ trophies: Champions League / European Cup and the Prem. How many of those have you won following 1961? Please answer…assuming you know about your club’s history.
since Manchester City last won some silverware in 1976, unless you are a proper old fogie, you will never have seen Manchester City win a single trophy in your entire life time "Manc in London" LOL.
The thing is, I have more chance of seeing us winning a major trophy than you have of seeing Spurs win anything of note. I’m not saying we will win anything major (my pessimistic nature makes me believe we won’t) but at least we will be able to dream about it. You’ll have to stick with the competition virtually no-one else wants to win – the Carling Cup. Even Championship sides rest players for Carling Cup games. It’s basically a reserve cup that Spurs take more seriously than anyone else.
I’m not that old. But then it could be worse, I could live in the cultural vacuum of Essex. Armpit of the south-east.
Spurs have had Two 5th place finishes in the last Three years,
What major trophy did you win for that? Did each member of the Spurs squad get a colourful badge for their achievements?
These are cup finals that most teams don’t bother with. Where is the pride in winning something pretty much every is not bothered about?
One of which resulted in Tottenham Hotspur winning their 17th major trophy, what have Manchester City achieved over the last 33 years then, other than being a yo yo club ?????????? LOL
Like I said, only the League and Champs League / European Cup are major trophies as these refklect quality. A couple of flukey wins could win you the Carling or FA Cup. I would like us to get in one of those finals, no doubt, but to call them major trophies is nonsense. When Liverpool and the Rags compare numbers of trophies won, do they compare number of FA and Carling Cups won? I’ll answer for you: no.
Spurs, like ourselves, have won two major trophies. We are aware of that, however, Spurs fans forget that and state that they are a big club based on Carling Cup finals. LOL
Is it true that Spurs have the most racist defence in the country? I’m relieved that we don’t have players from the Indian sub-continent laying for us on Saturday.
