we didn't get beat today

they may have scored a goal to gain 3 points, but they did not "beat" us. We had all the possession, we were the team looking to go forward..it was just one of those days where it didn't quite click.

Let's not over analyse it, they didn't put us to the sword, we just didn't make it happen in the final third.


no biggy, we'll be Ok next week.

Centralized thread for the post-match is a good idea. :)

Reckon we should try it for players too, maybe also one for reserves/youth, would be easier for quick reference.

One thing i definitely learned is that Tevez, Johnson don't know how to cross the ball and don't know how to pass..
Tevez- Goes solo too much, doesn't know how to cross, Dribbles tooooo much.
Johnson- Doesn't know whens the right time to cross, dribbles too much, decides to dribble at the wrong times, Crosses at the wrong times

Tevez for me is Terrible honestly, hes full of himself, the only reason he is scoring right now in these past games is since every team puts 2 or 3 defenders on Dzeko which leaves Tevez the open space.. He is a solo player, rarely ever passes the ball and when he does its to the wrong person, same goes to Johnson.. Great game by Kolarov, Kompany, and Joe Hart..

Did you watch the game against Wolves last week? if it wasnt for Tevez we would have lost!

Dzeko has made little impression so far and its always a risk bringing someone in from overseas who has not played for 40 days and expecting them to fit straight in.

Silva, Toure and Barry had poor games

Johnsons final ball is very often crap

Kolo Toure is a weak link and Boateng offers very little going forward.

Hart is having a bad patch.

Other than that we were still the better side but we do not have the will to win like Utd do.

What so that's a reason for Tevez to go Solo every game and never pass the ball to anyone and try to break a 10 man defense? If we were watching the same game against Wolves then Tevez could of assisted Dzeko for about 3 goals (For when he went solo for the 2:1 lead, the 4th goal, and when Dzeko had a shot but was deflected for a corner, but Tevez didn't pass it to him he tried to dribble and the ball deflected to Dzeko), but he decided to go solo and be Messi Number 2..

True, it was a bit "spur of the moment" so sorry about that, its only a trial but after a defeat we thought it might be a good test....
