Why don't they have the extra officials behind the goals? Clearly would of helped for the penalty, or did they have to ditch them when they chose to add the line spray, as you're only allowed a certain amount of helpful refereeing aides per game?

They're in dialogue with the refs all the time. If they had a flag I think people would think they do more.

This game is in dire need of replay. It makes the whole thing pretty pointless when the outcome is decided by that.

Until video technology comes in for the big three decisions: goal/no goal, penalty/no penalty, red card/no red card this sport will just carry on getting more pathetic by the game.

Football has been a joke for a number of years. I do love what the sport is supposed to be. But what it is turning into is pathetic.

It's a real shame. This sport really could be fantastic.

Replay improved American sports a lot. Baseball finally introduced it this year and it's been very popular.
