A bigger margin doesn’t solve anything as the problem remains but in a different position.
Only one way VAR can work on offsides...the computer is programmed to make the same call every time given a set of parameters. No human intervention. Same rules for everyone.

What they should do is go off the part of the body the goal was scored with.
If it came off the sleeve part of the arm then fair enough the sleeve was further forward, if it goes in off the foot, knee head etc then check to see if that is further forward, if not award a goal.

I know there's no advantage given to the attacking team, but when they're ruling goals out for being dead level, they really are taking the piss.
I would love to see VAR scrapped, but realistically we're stuck with it. I just hope there's a drastic overhaul of how it's used, its ruining the game and they won't be looking forward to full stadiums singing 'fuck VAR' during every match, in the not too distant future (all being well).

The issue with this offside is when the camera stopped.
Thought it was supposed to be when the assist player first contacts the ball, this one stopped after he headed it

So you do understand why the graphic was relevant? It’s just you seemed to think it wasn’t as it’s showing what is and what isn’t a handball (and therefore where the line is taken from on the upper arm for offside)I understand the laws of the game, I also understand when we get fucked over. Even my Mrs said the line wasn't straight. The technology is not good enough to be accurate on tight calls and it totally spoils any enjoyment

That clearly shows it’s offside (this seasons). It would have be onside last season when the point was the arm pit. It’s now the “t short sleeve line”.View attachment 11641
that’s the original line they put in. Realised that’s onside then carried on moving it down

Its quite easy to solve this problem with offsides and var. . The line should be drawn on both defenders and attackers feet, so arguments about armpits or bulging bellies and arses are no longer.. The parameters is the feet like it was so many years ago.
