Offside rule changed after Silva's goal against Villa

Villa fans pointing to this. Even though THIS decision is wrong (or at least would be under FA's offside rules).

It’s not wrong as such, it’s just a different interpretation of it. That’s why they haven’t changed the law itself, just updated the guidance to it.

There was one in our game against Cheltenham identical to it where their striker was flagged for offside too. People just don’t tend to notice it as it’s not as noticeable as when it then leads onto a goal.

I wonder which ‘high ranking’ official is talking to the Mail about this, couldn’t possibly be a United or Liverpool exec could it? As predictable as shit falling out of a pig’s arse.
You never seen a constipated pig? That's where pork scratchings come from!

was this offside too then? The rule change is a joke. That’s not the first time they’ve changed rules cos if the uproar after we benefited from the long-standing rule.

Depends on which team scores it, for City that'll be offside and possibly a booking, for "others" it's a bit of a giggle and obviously a goal. New ruling as of today apparently.

So what happens now, if, a situation happens where [replace players names here with anyone from any club] Mings doesn’t decide to turn around and get tackled by Rodri but, instead, he mis-controls it and it goes to Gabriel Jesus who then runs through and passes to Rodri to score?

Is Rodri played onside by Mings because he’s played at the ball forward and it’s not gone straight to Rodri? Is Rodri played onside by Jesus as he’s run through and behind the ball? What’s the actual law?

Not to worry, they already change the rules during a game to suit their agenda, doing during a season was already set last year.
Set before last year. Remember when they clamped down on holding at corner being given as a penalty a couple of seasons ago, which lasted about a month then you were just magically allowed to do it again. It's fvcking madness what's going on in football. No agenda though, no corruption, no, none whatsoever.

If they play in blue and are called City, it’s no goal.

If they play in red, make sure you reward diving and cheating.

Seems pretty clear to me and I bet PIGMOL are fucking gutted that they have to come up with these convoluted schemes instead of just being able to write it explicitly.

Same for the media, must peck their heads in that they can’t just use the racial slurs that they really want to about our owners.
