Oh dear Ade

Im sending in a complaint!

Arsenal are walking around with a cannon on their shirt.

Disgraceful

add to this the fact that Sheffield United have knives on their shirts which obviosly promotes knife crime, the primer league and the world in general is a disgrace.

Ermina Bell took two of her children to a 50 Cent concert... Then moaned about it. Perhaps she needs to up her parenting skills as opposed to worrying about items of clothing.

Anyone who thinks logo's on a T-Shirt represent real life actions needs to seriously readdress thier life.

Che Guevara T Shirts... do those wearers want to revolutionise South America?
Do ralph Lauren wearers all play polo?
Should i actually just say "Neigh" to ketamine?
Should we turn all music venues into 'Greggs' so we can have "Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls?

Oh well so what if theres a gun on his t shirt??

And what kind of anti-gun campaigner goes to a 50 cent gig, along with her 2 children?? Surely she must have known what 50 is like with his lyrics before shellibg out all that money!!

FFS its ridiculous... Anti gun woman attends 50 cent gig only to complain about the use of guns in the lyrics and people making gun gestures!! Couldnt make this up!
She probaly didn't know what rap was,she obviously knows about football though if she can pick Ade out.

I still can't quite understand why an anti-gun campaigner would take her two kids to a 50 Cent concert...

Exactly.. it's ok to expose her kids to violent lyrics, bad language, scantily clad women, sexual gestures... but a bloke wearing a t-shirt with a picture of a gun is a disgrace..! the sad hypocritical cow, wouldn't surprise me if it all comes down to her bein a rag

the only surprising thing about all this isn't the idiocy of the mother complaining about the t-shirt while at a 50 cent gig, or the fact that the moronic press have covered the story, it is the fuckwit blues on here crying about ade's taste in music. i have been an oasis fan since they first appeared on the radar and loved the song cigarettes and alcohol. doesn't mean that's all i care about in life. top players are constanly sent clothes and paid to wear things that will promote certain ranges. this is the second time this season ade has been slagged on here for wearing a t-shirt when he was probably not thinking of the morality of wearing them on either occasion. they are just clothes. the op in this case is talking through his arse in order to get a reaction to his thread. think of something interesting next time you buffoon.

"Patsy McKie, from Manchester-based Mothers Against Violence, said Adebayor should explain himself."

He should explain himself. He should say, Patsy it is a f*cking t-shirt, a piece of clothing, the gun is just a picture, it is unlikely to go off in anyone's face. Oh and Patsy, What the f*ck has it got to do with you what I wear in my spare time?

The story's on the front of the MEN, seen by thousands! The OP has merely highlighted it which gives us the chance to point out the hypocrisy of it and defend him, which you yourself seem to be doing!! so whats your problem..? it was obv "interesting" enough to get a reaction from you !

calling the thread "oh dear ade" then saying what were you thinking, seems to imply agreement with said woman who reported it in the first place rather than defend ade. i saw the story in the sun shortly before logging on to here and clicked on thread to see what ade had done now as i thought the t-shirt was a non story and wouldn't be worthy of a mention on here unless to condemn the woman. it amazes me what ours players get hammered for on a city forum. the reaction to him wearing an arsenal t-shirt in january shocked me but this is something else. my problem is with so-called blues backing the media when one of our players are in the spotlight for a trivial matter. these are the kind of people who watch motd on a saturday night then quote hansen on monday morning to try to sound informed.

I actually agree with the MEN on this one, and they've been quite balanced with the story. They haven't blown it out of proportion, but stated that as a role model, who was attending a public gig, who has just being the victim of gun crime, perhaps it's a better idea to put on a shirt with a gun on it.

Whether you like it or not, this glamorises gun culture.

Reminds me of America a few years ago, when a campaign group called Mothers Against Drink Drivers (MADD. Yes, really) tried to severely restrict alcohol sales anywhere within 10 minutes drive of a school. The writer PJ O'Rourke responded by setting up his own rival organisation, Drunks Against Mad Mothers (DAMM)

i am not hammering Ade but i do think he has made a bad call wearing it in light of what happened to the Togo team ...there also seems to be a frightening amout of posters thinking that singing (is that the right word? ) about shooting people and promoting guns is fine....but maybe that goes with being sun readers

As far as the city fans getting on Ade's back I think some of it has to do with their overall opinion of him prior to this. Fans would tend to back Ade a bit more if he was putting in a bit more effort on the field. Perhaps if Ade had played on Monday and we had won I think he would've recieved more support over this in the past few days. On the surface its only a t shirt but you'd think that after what he's been through he'd have some reservation about wearing it. Its a tough one but one thing is certain that stupid woman is a joke and I can't believe an anti gun person would take their children to see a band that often has violence in their song lyrics. It really is mind boggling and the press should've seen this and turned it around on her.

completely agree about the mugs who sing, make films and glamorise guns but ade was simply wearing a t-shirt. i've got a t-shirt with noel gallagher, bobby gillespie, a couple of musicians who escape me without digging it out and pete doherty. i'm not sticking up for smackheads, just thought it was a decent t-shirt. i apologise for calling you a buffoon but a few blues on here are quick to jump on any bandwagon that slags off certain players. oh by the way, i think the sun is shite but rarely have time to 'read' a paper so buy it 'cos it's cheap and gives a brief glance as to what's happening in the world. a part of me dies every time i pick it up but the kids and missus seem allergic to me spending a couple of hours with a decent paper. again sorry to go off on one.

The MEN, and every major English paper has been glamourising "Shock and Awe" and "Heroes" for years. The Kalashnikov used to be a symbol of freedom fighters. This is Control freakery.

It's OK for the state to monopolise force, but for the little man it's taboo.

what do you mean?? by your use of past tense you are implying he should have played on wednesday's game not monday's against everton, a game which he was banned from. if you are talking about this monday's game against wigan, we can't support a player more based on an appearance he is yet to make. you seem confused.

How?

Theres no hand pulling the trigger, therefore is absolutely obvious the T-Shirt promotes leaving guns alone... hence the T-Shirt being black i.e the gun, left alone, in space.

You, like her, just didnt actually appreciate the meaning ;)
