The problem is once Bruce and Sunderland have seen him play a few times they certainly won't be wanting to make the move permanent.
He's a nice lad with a nice smile. And he scored a memorable goal. But he's not very good.

What was Sven thinking!!!!!!!!!

He'll be alright .

Mind you i can't really see him settin' the place on fire ..... just the odd goal now and again to remind them that he's a striker!

Whoa there boys, dont be badmouthing Benji, the guy puts in a shift when he plays an is a damm site better than the crock numpty paid 17 million for..........an he scored the winner at the swamp, so a little respect is in order.
 
He's not coming back, he's out of contract in the summer.

The reason this is a loan deal is so Brucey would get him on a free without having to wait for his current contract to expire.

And we get the bonus of him not being eligible to play against us this time around.
