ok i give in.

I always judge a transfer window by the following criteria:

a) Have we improved our strongest starting 11?

b) Have we improved the squad?

c) Have we got rid of unwanted players?

Assuming we sign Sinclair, Maicon and Wright to go along with Rodwell, I'd say the answer to a and b is no and the answer to c is yes.

Overall I'd say we're probably no worse off or better off than last year. However, a couple of our rivals I think have strengthened so it should be an interesting and exciting season.

Quite frankly I don't understand the indifference of some City fans. For me, this is arguably the worst moment in City history since Hughes left. Our squad is currently nowhere near as dominant as last season, but I suppose it was too good to last. We will do well to qualify for the Champions League next season, mark my words.

Im going to print this post off, stick it on my wall and every time im feeling down, i'll look at this and laugh.

+1

This is not a case of us being ungrateful, what we have achieved is brilliant, but because we have achieved we have to keep moving forward. The champs league was always going to throw us a tough time, dont get me wrong its bloody exciting, but it will seriously bite into our league challenge, whereas over the road the usual fix gives them training sessions. I am at a certain age of having to take it on the chin for 30 years and just at the time when we can finally send them packing it appears we have let them off the hook(hopefully they will get it tough in the semi in champs). Losing Jongie is to me almost a disaster, his wealth of experience being replaced by Rodwell will backfire, i hope Rodwell does really well but it was evident against Southampton Yaya was looking out for him, can we really afford to do this right now. Maybe by midnight i will be thinking, ok thats better but it aint going to happen. It was obvious the big signings that we wanted were never going to come months ago so now we scramble to bring a few in. RM will be absolutely steaming and i guarantee during the season he will refer to this. People will say Wright is 3rd choice so it doesnt matter, well it does, Taylor brought a lot more to the squad than just 3rd choice. So as i said i am not ungrateful, Bill is not ungrateful, RM is not ungrateful, but i think all 3 of us are disappointed, an early big signing would have psychologically sent the others towards panic button, RM knew that. Sometimes one decision can only be seen a few years later, i hope this is not one

lets hope the squad gets strengthened big time tomorrow, or i can see a dissapointing season especailly in europe.

I'm beginning to adopt a phlegmatic approach! The euphoria and fireworkds of last season are turning into a damp squib.

Benylin usually works well to remove phlegm :))

Your in your element aren't you!

PMSL

This is from "Lionheart" - the poster who gave up the league weeks before we won it and gave up the Champions League last night within 5 mins of the draw being made.

You should change your name from 'Lionheart' to 'Cottonwoolballs'
