Quite frankly I don't understand the indifference of some City fans. For me, this is arguably the worst moment in City history since Hughes left. Our squad is currently nowhere near as dominant as last season, but I suppose it was too good to last. We will do well to qualify for the Champions League next season, mark my words.

Please explain how our squad isn't as dominant. We've lost AJ who hardly played and are replacing him with another arguably better player.

De Jong also hardly featured and has been replaced by a younger more versatile player.

How that makes us less dominant i'll never know.

Replacing AJ with Sinclair is pretty much like for like....but replacing De Jong with Rodwell is a step down, at least for now. Maybe Rodwell will be excellent in a couple of years, but I know which of the two I'd currently rather have next to Yaya against the likes of Real Madrid...and it isn't Rodwell.

No it'll be Barry.

We have to do some decent business today or the religion and bumming threads in the cellar will go mental until January.
BTW is there still "the list" for nobbers on the transfer forum, and if so do the bans get handed out tonight?

Best to accept that some people are just knobs really - no need to start a load of bans, in my view

@BroadcastMoose: City fans it is a forward - more shortly
Hope it doesn't mean dzeko is on his way out. Is he reliable or just another wum?

Selling NDJ is a huge mistake. There is no other player within the clutch of midfielders we have that has the tackling ability he has....people on here criticise the fact that he cannt pass a ball but h doesnt need to be able to...his job is to win the ball and give a simple 5 yd pass to the likes of yaya or silva...and he did that very very well....we will miss him in the big games a lot more than people realise......rodwell is no where near the ability of NDJ...yaya although clearly an all around better player cannt tackle to save his life.......barry is nowhere near as mobile...and since milner joined the club Ive been waiting for him to produce the games/ability that everyone said he had....and he hasnt....great engine on him but doesnt create that much, certinaly cannt tackle like NDJ and doesnt have the drive that yaya does from midfiled.

We are already shipping more goals than last season and are looking a lot more vulnerable....chelsea (with 10 men), southampton and liverpool (and remember they were a bit of a laughing stock concerning scoring last season) have already exposed us in the opening 3 games.

As for the other transfers

Sinclair...well this is another "one for the future".....lets just see what happens
Nastic (sp) ....no idea but he has to be an improvement on Savic (hopefully!!!)
Maicon.....?????? no idea...obviously great going forward but he could leave us very exposed at the back.
Rodwell......if he is a replacement for NDJ he is not as good.....im not sure where he fits in RM's plans but he has never shown me much when ive seen him play for everton or us so far

I thought this window was meant to be about one or 2 quality additions and removal of the deadwood....for me this hasnt happened yet.....we were suppose to tinker with the squad...not remove someone (who i view at least as integral) and bring in a load of unproven (with the exeption of maicon) risks....

Its goingt o be a very very interesting season...think there will be lots more goals (against us and for us)....think RM is turning into KK!!!!!!!

Dear me, we will use all that world and European experience that Jack has as Madrid pile the pressure on, never mind Ajax and Borussia, did you not see Yaya looking after him against SOUTHAMPTON

Dont judge a player on one game. Rodwell did very well against silva last season when we played them, make of that what you will with sweeping judgements.
Barry should be back in time for the Real game anyway.
