many an email from staff in our place has she/her or he/him, mainly millenials and gen z bods, The Gen Xers like mesen don't care as we are the coolest and most easy going generation and the boomers are confused easily after all

Yep. I find it odd it riles people up so much either way, don’t know if it’s just because it’s more common than it used to be.
 
I may be wrong, I often am, but isn't the She/her thing a fight back against 'stupid speak' ?

Interesting thread, being in the dark ages here in upside down land it's sometimes good to know what twattery might get here in a few years.
