Yup, Paulden's on the corners of Cambridge Street, Cavendish Street (as it was then, a through road to All Saints) and Chatham Street. My Old Man took me there on his shoulders to see it going up in flames, loads of people watching from Stretford Road. I can still remember its clock tower falling!
 

Even in those days the media was biased. In his opening remarks the commentator claimed that City were usually defeated by United in the Derby fixture. But the history section of Bluemoon shows we only lost five out of the previous 24 Derby matches going back to 1925 and were unbeaten in the preceding six fixtures against the Rags before this one! Fake news was going strong in 1955!
