The last sentence sums it up to a tee. Fucking brilliant, it was exactly the same on the Kippax, fucking awful at times. Dunno whether it was Friday nights or the Saturday barrels pmsl

Cant remember what year they banned drinking in the stands but so mental to remember people sat there with a pint of rancid greenals and smoking a tab.

Usually about 15 mins in blokes would start dropping their guts. If like me dad you had had 2/3 pints of holts in the junc before hand then the stench was even worse

Found this going through my old photos - it's where I used to stand on the Kippax - and I think from 1988/89?

What I'd give to stand on the Kippax one last time.
It was the most amazing place .

PMSL Blue. I used to get tanked up on Joseph Holt's in the Claremont. You fucking needed it in them days Blue.
