I was right behind the goal for that, it was the first time I heard blue moon sung.

My dad taught me to play on that Croft mate. That one and the one at the bottom of the entry between Rosedale and Horton where all the old lock ups were.

I know them both well mate. We used to play 20 a side!!

Its funny really, on match days you knew exactly where to stand by walking down the steps, recognising faces,
squeezing in on the right and hey ho there were your mates.
If you stupidly got there too early I didn’t have a clue.

You see, I love pictures like this because I know these players are the ones my Dad would have seen and thought so much of. The way I/we do now and have done for the past how many years? Even when we were crap, there were players that I loved.
