That’s great that mate, and people of a certain age knew “Let’s go to town” was going to be the next line there :-).
Think we spent most of our Summer holidays going to ‘Town’ (or the Airport for a change), funny he mentions the 101, that was the bus from Civic that went through Newall Green and Baguley, but was thinking, we had so many choices if we missed one bus, you then had the 100,102,103,104,105,106, and the express 107 midweek mornings, that saying “girls are like buses, there’ll be another one due any minute” must have come from that era, very different from public transport now.
