To the few Charlton fans on that glorious day in 85 " you must have come on a skateboard "
I remember the Harry Roberts song being sung at Filbert street when we won the league 68.‘Harry Roberts’?
I tried getting that going in 110 a couple of times last season. Half a dozen old boys soon latched on with gusto, but we were soon 'drowned out' out by the apathetic stares of youngsters and glory hunting tourists who didn't have a scooby WTF we were going on about: /For me, the one to bring back is
You are my City, my only City
you make me happy, when skies are grey...
especially with the na na na at the end
Close second would be
Hello, hello, we are the City boys...
I liked the Sun Jihai one, even if it was a bit cheeky it was meant in good spirits and made me as a kid laugh
you’d never get away with it these days!
Hammers from me tooHammers. 100%
I remember it as Laurel and Hardy
I only remember singing "we don't carry hammers". We may well have previously said flick knives, I don't know. I think hammers was in reference to West ham(The Hammers) ICF firm who got a bit nawty quite a few times back then.Hammers from me too
Rubbish.I only remember singing "we don't carry hammers". We may well have previously said flick knives, I don't know. I think hammers was in reference to West ham(The Hammers) ICF firm who got a bit nawty quite a few times back then.
Ok Methuselah, calm down. I said "I think", I didn't claim to know..Rubbish.
The song referred to Hammers, back in the mid-1960s, long before the ICF and all the other infantile products of the 1970s even existed.
