Old TV Series You Remember Fondly ...

Sometimes wonder what criteria is used to decide what series will be resurrected/repeated. Some of the ones that have been highlighted tonight would make great viewing and, as has been mentioned earlier, beats the 'reality' crap hands down.

I accept that some things are deemed no longer 'politically correct' but shouldn't we able to decide for ourselves?? We all have remotes or the ability to turn the tv off if there is something we don't like ... why do we need to have our viewing choices limited by the nanny state???

For me, bring back Mind Your Language, It Ain't Half Hot Mum even Love Thy Neighbour etc - I'm old and wise enough to determine for myself what is offensive and what is not - maybe seeing them again will flag up how much our views have changed and it may well be that, frankly, I don't find them funny anymore but let me decide for myself!!! There are far far too many gems from the good old days of tv that we are being denied the pleasure of by bloody do-gooders pontificating that they are no longer acceptable!!!

The issue may well be things like the willingness of the stars to allow repeats - maybe the Persuaders won't be repeated until after Roger Moore dies? Maybe Melvin Hayes won't let them repeat It Ain't Half Hot Mum and so on. Copyrights can be in dispute too.

what about the dustbin men. I think that's what it was called. Always remember it starred a young Eddie Yeats from Corrie. He was an obsessed city fan. I think that's why I remember it so well.
That was Gerry booth who was in corrie WINSTON cheese n egg too Jennifer Jones used to call me Winston ooooh Jennifer Jones I dropped a ballock there
