Olivia’s killer guilty - Minimum of 42 years

Legalising drugs takes away the power of the criminals and you invest the tax gained into rehabilitation instead.
@Scottyboi that didn't answer the question. Do you legalise everything, every drug that is known and leave a gap for when they invent a new one ?
Further, like cigarettes if you tax it the criminals can still sell it cheaper so they still make a profit.

Honest question as i have no idea.
If we legalised drugs, what would stop the drug dealers from just cutting their prices compared to the legal drug prices?
Most drug takers would surely go for the cheaper stuff.
Sorry if it's a stupid question or already answered

I was going to post exactly the same thing myself. Most front doors these days have multi point locking systems and are very difficult to break down unless you are using a sledge hammer or angle grinder etc.
But you negate this super strong front door if you decide to unlock it from the inside.
Like you Paul, I never open my front door after dark/9pm.
I had a guy knocking on my front door one dark night last winter.
He had a pizza to deliver, but I hadn't ordered it.
Even though I told him I hadn't ordered it and that I wasn't going to open the front door, he insisted that I take delivery.
Eventually I told him to fuck off, and he decided to take my advice and went.
All done while shouting at him through the living room window.
I got a knock on the door a few Saturdays ago, about 11pm, just myself, the wife and daughter in at the time. I had a bottle of beer in my hand and consciously took it to the door with me, which isn’t a nice way to be thinking tbh. Anyway, turns out it was Merseyside police doing house to house, bloke stabbed at the pub at the end of the road. You’re bang on about not answering the door and this poor girl’s story proves it. And before anyone asks, no I didn’t :)

Doesn’t seemed to have happened over here with the legal weed. The variety of things available in the dispensaries is quite amazing
Is your legal weed taxed ? Here we tax cigarettes so criminal gangs bring in tobacco from Europe, including counterfeit tobacco. The pubs do a roaring trade knocking it out. It would becthe same with drugs.

Surely even Merseyside police can solve this one.
The lad who was the intended victim was taken in a car by his mates to the local hospital. Even in Liverpool there can't be many people going into A&E with gunshot wounds on a Monday night.
That was the victim, how does that help identify the attacker?

Yes, by the States, Federal law still has not legalized across the board. They’re making huge amounts of money

Every Polish, Turkish, Armenian, Iraqi ran shop i've been in sell cheap fags and tobacco.
I just walk in and ask them ,they are very open about it and give me a price list

Statistically the 90s were much more violent than now.

According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales, violent crime peaked in 1995 and has fallen by over two-thirds since then. In recent years, those falls have largely flattened out.

Nearly five in every 100 adults aged 16 and over were estimated to have been victims of violent crime in 1995. In 2016/17, fewer than two in 100 adults were.
I don’t necessarily believe the statistics. Probably the same in the 90s as well as now but I know for a fact there’s been burglaries on my street, yet according to the stats the only crime committed in the last few years has been a stolen bike… which is laughable.

Then I assume the criminals are selling it cheaper so still making money, albeit not as much.
I would allow chemists to sell weed but I would not tax it.
