It’d be common purpose in the UK and I’m not sure it could be applied to someone fleeing being shot, as opposed to taking part in a riot, but not being personally responsible for pulling the trigger.

So the people who wanted him dead, won’t kill him so long as he doesn’t say who wanted him dead. Call me pedantic but why try to kill him in the first place if you’re happy enough for him to be alive now?

Personally I suspect it much more likely they’ll kill him now, dead folk don’t snitch and it shows they’ll get you no matters what.
