Olivia’s killer guilty - Minimum of 42 years

We are not far off the Mad Max fantasy actually becoming the new reality. Society is breaking down and when people can't afford to heat their homes and buy food it will escalate even further. Look at this video, how does a shop or business stop this even with security? They don't.

Bizarre. Of course there's food there to be swiped, but how much actual cash would be at any McDonalds these days? Not enough to go round 50 and make it worthwhile. Spanners.

@splinter it is nothing knew. Curtis Warren, The Fitzgibbon family. Open gang warfare in there's and 90's.
It is sad a child has died but the young Everton fan, Reece ? was the same age.
If people stopped sticking coke up their nose, buying counterfeit gear, snide cigs and (verbally) attacking the cops it might improve but it is the public that give the gangs the power.
Drugs are not going to go away.
It is time the government took control of the issue and legalised it. Take the criminals and underworld out of it.
Let the supermarkets sell it in their chemist sections but profits from it go into rehabs and drug education.
It may not get rid of drug abuse but it will put an end to those causing misery and mayhem across the country

I was wondering how he forced his way through the front door as most aren't that easy to get through. I just saw on the news the mother opened the door to see what the noise was. Never open the door. I never open mine as anybody knocking is either pestering to sell something, a religious nut or someone up to no good. I will go upstairs and look through a window. These days you can't be too careful.

Surely even Merseyside police can solve this one.
The lad who was the intended victim was taken in a car by his mates to the local hospital. Even in Liverpool there can't be many people going into A&E with gunshot wounds on a Monday night.

I read that she opened the door to see what was happening - the intended victim saw it and legged it in. In the confusion she probably had no time to shut it again before the hit man was on it and firing through the gap

I was going to post exactly the same thing myself. Most front doors these days have multi point locking systems and are very difficult to break down unless you are using a sledge hammer or angle grinder etc.
But you negate this super strong front door if you decide to unlock it from the inside.
Like you Paul, I never open my front door after dark/9pm.
I had a guy knocking on my front door one dark night last winter.
He had a pizza to deliver, but I hadn't ordered it.
Even though I told him I hadn't ordered it and that I wasn't going to open the front door, he insisted that I take delivery.
Eventually I told him to fuck off, and he decided to take my advice and went.
All done while shouting at him through the living room window.

Don’t assume anything with this fucking lot…

It will be like when young Resce was shot. An initial wall of silence but then the graffiti on the walls will name names and the pressure will grow but the police ultimately need people to come forward or can't do anything

It's one of those tragic events which makes me stop and think about the fuckery we have in this world.

The callous nature of the individuals involved who left a mother and child to die in their own home.

They care about absolutely nobody but themselves and theirs. Killing somebody, even a kid means absolutely nothing to them except self pity if they get caught. I would personally hang every single scumbag and like them not lose a minutes sleep over it.

Few years ago we had a knock at 3am during the week, I climbed up to look through the bedroom window and it was a pizza delivery. I said I didn’t order it and he said I did so I said do I look like I’ve just ordered a pizza

Should have beaten him up, torched his vehicle and kicked his back doors in.
The usual bluemoon advice ha

I tell everyone not to open their door. I had to drum it into my elderly parents. Everybody these days alerts you they're coming, even a pizza delivery and taxi driver. Most people check you're in before calling. I go upstairs and see who's walking away. If I want to speak to them I shout from an upstairs window, then if I want to let them in or speak further I go downstairs and open the door. I couldn't give a fuck if people think I'm odd that's the way it is.

I'm amazed they're still open and delivering at that time.
