You don't live in Manchester, you live in the forgotten land just outside.Thank God I live in Manchester where everyone is salt of the Earth and straight as an arrow
Last time I checked I lived in ManchesterYou don't live in Manchester, you live in the forgotten land just outside.
But its still preferable to dukeingfilled.
Hmmmmm, we're your mob allowed into lower the rateable value for the rest of us ?Last time I checked I lived in Manchester
And yet you’re more likely to be a victim of crime in Manchester than Liverpool. Public opinion on Liverpool’s crime rates are exaggerated.I moved close to Liverpool for work, and the nature of my job see’s the destruction that is happening in Liverpool (not the police by the way)
Society in Liverpool is ingrained in criminal behaviour that dates back to the docks etc etc. The police are next to useless and have no real intention of ridding the city of its criminal gang stranglehold - especially on the kids that are dragged into the gangs and are causing areas not to be entered
Travelling on the train the other week back from work,a group of young boys and girls boarded (around 12 years old) overheard the conversation from one of the lads that he was carrying a blade for protection. There conversation throughout the journey floated between being proper kids talking about music etc, but then back to the reality they are stuck in - pretty grim existence and sad
The week before there was gangs of youths tooled up in Formby, birkdale who had travelled from Liverpool looking for certain individuals to carry out violence- thankfully the police did stop this in time.
Every city has crime, but when you see what is happening on a weekly basis and the impact it is causing with no end in sight, it is a a one way ticket to hell
The murder of Rhys Jones should have been the wake up call the city needed to try and fight back and reclaim the streets from the gangs - they didn’t and haven’t done enough
I've been in a few relationships over the last few years & i've taken them up to Manchester for a few days to show them a City that i love and have spent a lot of time in over the decades. And yet you’re more likely to be a victim of crime in Manchester than Liverpool. Manchester has the highest crime index at 56.34, compared to Liverpool at 44.50.

Manchester has a higher crime rate per head of population than London (Mcr 97.3 per thousand; Ldn 82.9 per thousand). With only Middlesborough and those small run-down towns in West Yorkshire being higher, but they have much smaller populations.
You’ve ignored a very vital bit of information in all that. And yet you’re more likely to be a victim of crime in Manchester than Liverpool. Public opinion on Liverpool’s crime rates are exaggerated.

I do love crime stats. If you do not record a crime then it isn't a crime. The disorder when the ferals won the league, how much was recorded as a statistic ?You’ve ignored a very vital bit of information in all that.

Exactly the same story was attributed to George Akins snr in Nottingham.quality street (are /were) a notorious gang from manchester , allegedly put the fear of god into the krays to stop them trying it on oop norf (that last bit could be bulllshit)

My misses teaches in Crosby at St Michaels High school. I've lived in Maghull for over 10 years now (just down the road from Ormskirk.) I was homesick big time when I first moved there, but I have to say its a great place to live. The only issue I have is the Liverpool fans are unbearable but find the Everton fans fine. The only trouble I find is anti social behaviour and lads from Kirkby coming down causing a bit of grief. I'm proud to come from Denton and had a great upbringing and it used to be a great community spirit with plenty of boozers. I go back regularly to see my mum and dad and its a patch of its former self. I don't recognise the place anymore. Its such a shame.I was just going to post similar. The stereotyping is classic. I now live in Crosby and have done for some time. I grew up in Cheetham Hill until 10 and then upgraded to Moss Side, have been badly stabbed and shot at a number of times as a kid and was no saint at all. Some of the lads I grew up with are no longer with us and some are still doing long stretches. One was shot to death in front of us many years ago when we were playing pool. I have no idea where some of the folks on here think they are living. Poverty and criminal behaviour is in all large cities. I’ve worked in guns and gangs teams previously and with the police all over the North West. I almost spat my coffee out reading the post about kids from Liverpool going to Formby and Ormskirk. Fucking hell that is just anti social behaviour and happens everywhere. Anyone been to Formby? It’s full of footballers and closes about 8pm. Ormskirk isn’t far behind. Maybe they were looking for Kenny Dalgleish or Hanson. They live out that way towards Birkdale.
mate, my wife is a scouser. it was a joke (and occasionally, the idea of sending her to rwanda sounds like a cracking idea)The little girl was a scousers. Her mum is a scouser. The two other innocent women murdered, one stabbed and the other shot to death were scousers. Some times the football tribalism isn’t the thing to bring up when bigger and more important things are at play…. We have our fair share of problems with gun and knife crime in Manchester too….

They have a name as it's been painted over the Huyton area since it happened almost. But is it the right one and is the person still in the country even.Someone knows who did it, I dont care about all this grassing business, if I knew someone who shot a 9 year old child I would stick them in straight away, let gangsters kill each other, fair enough, but when an innocent child gets killed its gone to far
Lifestyle is still better than working in a factory, the kudos that goes with their role, and being involved makes them feel important. One thing I struggle with with these criminal types is that they rarely seem to use the proceeds of crime well. They still live on the same estates that they did before they got involved in crimes. Obviously Mr Big, the brains behind the operations may be Sat in his Marbella Villa reading the Times as I type but the Footsoldiers just never seem to better themselves and often spend half their life in jail. I just don’t understand the point of it.
