We all know he had a trial before with Man city but the lad is running the whole show in the asian cup. By far the most exciting player in the whole tournament (even getting more attention than kagawa, and Honda).

His game against Iran (he ran the whole show with 68% ball possession for UAE)

All his games in the asian cup so far (the assist against Bahrain led to the fastest goal in the history of Asian cup 13.5 seconds):

A compilation of his best assists and goals:

He honestly came a long way and matured to become more than just a rough diamond. Isn't he worth a second look?

What the garduian thinks of him so far:

We wanted to sign him but he couldn't get a work permit before. Probably has played in enough games for the national team to qualify, but I doubt UAE is ranked high enough so it'd be touch and go.

Thanks to Omar, UAE ranking moved from 138 back in 2012 to 80 right now (were at 61 at their best back in Feb-2014):

I can see them moving up the rank by the end of the asian cup.

The UAE have to rank under 70 for him to get a work permit which they currently don't, but if they reach the final or win the Asian Cup they should drop below that figure.

I thought he was immense at the Olympics the other year and tore us apart in the post season friendly at the end of last season.

Apparently Mansour's dream signing.

Maybe we could get him for the New York team, then maybe to us in a couple of years.

He would definitely rise and shine in the MLS.

I reckon if the UAE get under the 70 ranking City will go for him again, I can see Mansour wanting to give the people of the UAE a City player they can really cling on and buy in to.
