Omar Abdulrahman

I still remember the McDonald Margia farce, elder brother of Wanayama at Celtic.

Refused a work permit despite coming from the ex-British colony of Kenya, who are still a current member of the British Commonwealth, interest from several leading European sides and over 20 caps and 5 goals for his country, despite his young age of 22.

We were told no way and it fell through on deadline day. Minutes later he is snapped up by Inter. Next day the UK govt office for work permits declares he could have had one after all.

Not that I want to perpetuate any agenda myths, but I am sure I have read of a connection between the rag board and the panel for work permits - can anyone shed light on this? Am sure someone is on the panel with very raggy connections.

What an impressive performance today.. He totally dominated the midfield. I like the fact that he doesn't waste time to show off. He always wants to find himself in a better position with the fewest touches possible. He scored the first impressively and assisted the second goal, let alone the numerous of chances he created. He will soon be snapped by a top team in Europe. I have no doubts about that.

Wow that was some strike for the goal

I think we lost our chances of getting him... Barcelona, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Hamburg and Malaga all interested and keeping a close eye on him

Unless we pay a buttload of money.

They were, as was DAVID PLATT who was a vocal City hater before he joined us.

"If City come calling again and the UAE are in the top 70, would he join them? "Yes, I would," he said. "I wanted to join Man City when they offered me, but it's out of my hands and we cannot do anything.

"If the club offers me again when UAE is in the top 70 of Fifa rankings, I will sign it. It is every player's dream to play in a major European league and Manchester City is one of the biggest clubs."

Looks like he is still City's for the taking

More information out: Omar Abdulrahman told a trusted source who is very close to Omar that Man City offered him a 4 years deal that he couldn't sign or approve of!!

I think there is a high chance that he would be playing in ManCity next season
