I think it’s a £2m a year salary there without bonuses so probably more than doubling his money.Probably as simple as him getting a substantial payrise. I could care less, its not like they have nicked Haaland from us. I'm sure we will hire somebody equally competent to replace him.
We don't "need" anybody. Doesn't mean we clearly valued him very highly and will be a loss to us. More than that though, we wouldn't have employed him and promoted him numerous times and wouldn't have reportedly saw him as the natural in-house successor should any of his superiors leave their roles if he wasn't a very capable person.
