Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

No idea mate, not even going to pretend to be on that level of business intelligence.
What I will say though is, like it or not the people at the top want city successful and rich and every decision we make will be on towards that end. Even the whole super league fiasco: we had to agree or we’d be out in the cold.

Is there more money to be made working together with those bastards? Who’s to say. Arguably the red fuckers working together showed how successful it can be to engineer the game in your favor. As a businessman would you rather be part of that?
But that’s all hypothetical and not advocating for it or not.

I genuinely think that when we’re cleared, the clubs will start being forced to work with us. And I don’t think we’ll allow a grudge to stop that!

It will be on our terms with FA,PL,UEFA,PiGMOL,Media and rivals, who have all tried to destroy our club.

They all know that we know what they've attempted for the last 15 years.

You catch more bees with honey than vinegar....We will hold the moral high ground !!

A 5m handshake and treble wages?

If the club truly valued someone in their role and saw them as vital to City, I would like to think we would at least match whatever another club offers to keep them. Especially to stop a valuable employee with insider knowledge leaving to a bitter rival.

I always thought Bees produced honey? And wouldn't you catch bears with honey?

Think some are getting a bit ott here, ratcliffe has ownership of 3 football clubs and wants to copy our global model, so no supprise he has poached one of ours, but lets be honest hardly nobody on here or the rag fans knew who berrada was until this overly reported non story of man gets new higher status job in same sporting field broke last night.

This shit happens all the time across business, what exactly is he gonna tell them? Invest in south america, the US and asia, build academies and community projects in targeted nations? create an Esport team to tap into that market?

Our stratergy is hardly being kept a secret, we are not MI5 with vast secrets to protect like some on here seem to think, we're a business and various contractural ruls will apply to what info he can take with him.

Beside he is basically a highly skilled telecomunications and investment negotiator, who has worked closely under Txiki and has football recruitment expertise something their outgoing CEO hasn't got despite being successful at making them comercially attractive even while being shite on the pitch, smacks to me like they want someone with conmection to european and global football and a knowledge of the Esport franchises to drag them out of the 90s, even if successful this is at least a 5-10 year project before it brings them any joy

I would be more bothered if they had poached Marwood who runs our football network

It becomes a double edged sword that, what if you United had offered more then Ferran was on for example (after all it is the same role).

Then you have Omar salary, plus Ferran should earn x amount above as the job is a bigger job.

We can dress it up but from the outside it looks far from ideal.

From the inside none of us have a clue.

Some poster is posting that it could be good to have someone with good relations at United and I go along with that.

24 hours ago if someone asked City fans person at the club they would most dislike to go to United he would not register on the list.

Also vice versa.

Now it’s being pitched as big as KDB or Pep.
