Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

A big problem is he is going to have to try and bring in better players than the rags have but on smaller salaries.
Why would better players want to be earning less than Rashford, ratface etc
That's why I say he will have a positive long-term impact. His remit will be to change this over the next 3-5 years.

He knows a lot of what we do and how we do it though?
What real relevance is that?

They're a completely different business model, where he won't be able to implement half the things that are in place at City.

He's gone from arguably the best run operation in world football, to one of the worst at this level.

He's got an enormous job on his hands and one that will take a good few years to start to turn. Meanwhile we will continue to evolve as we always have done.

Let's be honest until this news broke 99% of us City fans, including me, had never hears of this guy so it no big deal ! Comments on here would make you believe that Haaland and KDB had just signed for the manure !

I wonder how much Berrada knows about our summer transfers going forward and if the rags try and intercept them? Surely he will have certain employment conditions within his contract that stops him divulging certain information?
if he does then he will have immediately failed and basically have reverted to every other rag employee , our summer transfers will have been specifically tailored to us and roles we are trying to fill, if he goes out and buys them just to stop us buying them he will have failed completely in his role already and we will go the plan b player which we always have

If those three are the holy trinity then Omar is the pope.

He was the person who Barcelona got very upset about us taking, which makes sense because he tripled their commercial revenue in 5 years in the early 00s.

No point in downplaying this, having your COO get poached by your main competitor is going to be a headache on all sorts of levels.
You can change popes & the bandwagon will just keep rolling along.

The same can't be said for changing the Holy Trinity. ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯

These people are like most of the failed managers - they know it is a shithole, it's in the direst of straits, but they are convinced that they are the one to turn the turd into a diamond. What they completely ignore is the infrastructure, ethos, and mentality that surrounds them in their present employment, and the contribution other employees make! They see themselves as 'wizards'!
