Omar Berrada to the rags | TLDR: They want to be us

It's a big step up for this guy to go to a club that's board is all over the place, even more so now SJR is there. He's got one hell of a job on his hands considering it's his first CEO role at a club that's owned by the Glazers. Anyways, not our problem..

IMHO Omar will definitely have in his possession sensitive documentation from his time at City and will have been briefed on our defence against the 115 PL charges.

And all available just before the Independent Commission sits.

The dirty games just got ramped up a few levels.

You haven't posted much over the last 12 years I can see why, from the above.
Another clueless warrior.

He wasn't on the Board. The Board is non-executive. He would have been on a management "board" with Soriano, Begiristain, Guardiola and others, I suppose. He has detailed operational knowledge clearly, but any management consultant can roll out a global organisation. Any management consultant did at City, btw.

And it's not having access to the knowledge that's important, it's having the capability and infrastructure to support its successful use that is the crux. That is more than one man.

No need to worry about Berrada at United for a long while, imho.
as you said having the information is one thing utilising correctly is an entirely different ball game, as i have said previously the information about how city play is there for all to see on the pitch broadcast to the world over 50 times a year so why isnt everyone doing exactly the same thing.

I have all the information about how to make a gordon ramsay dish but that doesnt stop my kitchen looking like an explosion in a supermarket everytime i try.

He's obviously being sent on a mission to destroy them further from the inside.

Week one: phantom shit on boardroom table
Week two: piss stains on carpet of Ratcliff Office
Week three: curry in the photocopier
Etc, etc, etc
Do one and two not already happen whenever GPC rocks up?

The mental gymnastics from journalists and United fans is quite special.

Olympic worthy even

Spot on.

there is so much bullshit being written at the moment, Even the takeover of United by Jim is laughable.
Now because of the 25% B shares he's bought he owns the club and is fully in control hahaha

The Damage Manchester City have inflicted on them over the last ten years is pure comedy gold,
Facts and Results don't lie, Even with the amount of mud being thrown by the media on Manchester City, It's still laughable that everything they write about UTD the Results and tables show Manchester City are still KINGS

You’re right, City can’t do anything about it. It happens all the time in big business. Directors and people in senior management positions are always enticed by other companies and rivals, especially when they are offered a more powerful job and better pay.

It would be interesting to know if Omar was honest and upfront with City about being offered the job at United and his desire to take it and to leave City, or if City found out what Omar was planning and confronted him about it.
Your or anyone's guess is as good as mine, or anyone else's.

But I would imagine, being friends with the catalans for so long and having worked together not just here but at Barcelona too, and having been at the club as long as he has, that there would have been at least some degree of personal discourse.

I.e that he would have felt compelled to be honest and upfront with them, out of if nothing else, respect for the length of knowing each others, and possible friendship. That's before you even consider a sense of professionalism and gratitude, to the club as a whole. Even if you accept loyalty might not be a thing.

Just how I see it, probably through the prism of my own personality, but I really struggle to think this would have beeunderhand or bitter. Or that the club wouldn't have tried keep him to the extent they were comfortable with, and his going to me means they are ok about it.
