Omar Berrada to the rags

This is hugely concerning and potentially has huge ramifications.

Omar was viewed within the club as a natural successor to Ferran Soriano as CFG’s CEO and played a huge part (In everything) that went on at the club and the wider City football group.

Omar has knowledge and information on absolutely every detail of City’s and CFG’s operation. Something really, really fishy about this.

I have no doubt Khaldoon will have tried to intervene to retain him.
ok

How do I dislike a post

As David Moyes once said they're aspiring to be us.

Not shocked he's gone, it'll be a promotion and a huge payrise. Probably more shocked he's gone to that shit-show. Unfortunately he takes his knowledge with him. I assume they'll try to copy all things academy and multi-club related.

We'll be fine, our club very rarely gets replacements wrong.

I don’t think you can do that, happy to be proved wrong. Not sure how you can have in your contract that a football man can’t join another football club. Otherwise we should do it with pep haha
It's fairly common for big executives in any field - they have access to privileged information that they can then use against their former employers.

Obviously there are rules against that, but they're hard to enforce. So a bit of distance is pretty common.

Working at the CFA on the Friday and turning up at Carrington on the Monday morning? Unusual.

Some have the charges on their brain.

Will be nothing to do with that.

Think his contract should have had a no compete clause and especially one for taking a job with a PL rival.
Easy to get around advertise the job, candidate applies, job offered and accepted Very difficult to stop someone leaving for a better role, it’s restraint of trade City are not petty and as it says wish him the best Put him on garden leave doesn’t achieve anything as they work in the back ground anyhow

Can't deny the work he has done at City but he isn't a vital cog. Another thing I don't think he is a miracle worker either.

"Proof that no matter how many trophies you rack up , when it comes down to it anybody would rather join us because we are the biggest club in the country"
Kind of sums up their mentality and Achilles heel
