Omar Marmoush

That extra bit of quality is exactly what we need, or else we’ll continue to pass the ball aimlessly from side to side and backwards, lacking any real penetration into the 18-yard box. Without someone who can break through those defensive lines and take risks, we’ll remain predictable and sterile in our attacking play. We need a player who can carry the ball forward, make direct runs, and create danger—someone who can truly threaten opposition defenses, rather than just passing for the sake of possession. That’s the key to unlocking the attack and becoming a real force in the final third.

That is why I appreciate players like Musiala and Bobb for Pep’s style of play—they possess that special ability to disrupt defenses, something we’ve been lacking in our attacking play. Marmoush, Kvara, and Nusa all share that same unique trait. They are not just dribblers, they are intelligent, direct players who can penetrate and break through tight, well-organized defenses. In a game where defenses are often parked or locked down, these players are the ones who can “gate crash” and make things happen. They create unpredictability, forcing defenders to make decisions on the fly, which is exactly what we need when facing a parked bus. The ability to break defensive lines with flair, creativity, goal scoring ability and a ruthless edge—that's the type of player we need to transform our attack.
Proper post..

Similar scoring record to Julian Alaverz which again isn't a completely a bad thing but again a repeat of the problem of being rotated.

Both have similar records both are more adept as playing as a second striker than being the main player. I don't get the desperate need for Marmoush, especially with the rotation issues.

Im saying after Marmoush (I want both players) in the summer.

I think currently Marmoush being a backup to Haaland is fine, but he will probably be much better on LW or playing off a target striker.

Delap is a relatively cheap Haaland backup to keep the target man setup going, and you can still play Marmoush LW or just behind Delap.

Id be surprised if Sporting take less than the release clause considering there will be LOADS of clubs after him. They have no need to lower it. 83m isnt too much for the top teams.
Delap's link up play is vastly under-rated.

With Delap he needs regular game time at his stage of his development which isn't a guarantee at either us or anyother top 4 club looking to actually win the league.

Or could backfire and the possibly the better targets would be available in the summer. As I said we are covered so there is slightly less pressure on him to perform from the get go
Ray, remind me to never go car shopping with you...or any shopping for that matter... : )

We "need" the RC Lens kid more than an extra attacking player this season. If it means muddying the waters for Arsenal then crack on. However there isn't a shortage of attacking talent either.
