Could make a pretty good 11 with those signings

Ortega

Akanji ------ Kompany ----- Boateng ---- Gvardiol

de Bruyne ------ de Jong ------ Gündoğan --------- Sané

--- Džeko ------ Haaland

with Berti taking his traditional position on the subs bench.

And Pep as manager.
If they could all have played at the same time at their peak years that would have been a mental team to watch.

I would have liked the keeper to have been Bert Trautman, we may not have signed him from a German team but we kidnapped him from Germany and turned him into a Mancunian.

Ginna be in hhr minority here but dony think he is that special of a dribbler. A bit Nasri-esque. Good dribbler but not special.

In fairness i don't think Palmer or Salah are special dribblers either, so there is that. If he can be as productive, thst would be special.

Dribbling on its own is pretty useless, as we can see with Doku.

If one had to pick between elite dribbling and elite decision making, the latter is far more necessary.

Salah is a world class dribbler. Of the top of my head the one he scored against us at Anfield where he turned Laporte inside out for starters.

Ibra looked like Bambi whenever he tried to dribble past a defender and if the defender refuses to get out of the way, he would simply just punch him in the mouth. Dribbling is overrated, some of the most effective attackers like Drogba and Villa actually did very little or no Dribbling, apart from the occasional nutmeg
