My old fella is lying in hospital in a very bad way with Cancer and has had a small heart attack last night but still fighting on. He's still reasonanably mentallly alert and this could be the last derby he's here for, by the next one he'll be probably sitting in the Kippax in the sky.

He's never been to Eastlands due to his heath but was a S/T at Maine Road from the early 70's until just before we moved. We used to travel all over watching City and it was so sad when he could nolonger go with me.

Sorry if this is a downer post but a result tomorrow would really put a smile on his/my face.

Shit I'm getting really emotional typing this.

Come on City do it for my dad!!!!!!!!!

Having gone through a similar thing from Feb to June this year, I know what you are going through mate. Unfortunately, my Dad did'nt make it (he nearly did but Pneumonia kicked in after the op to remove the tumour). so I really hope your old fella pulls through. I'll be singing even louder than normal tomorrow. Good luck.

I hope al goes as well as it can for your dad and your family.

Just remember though, when we do win something be it a derby or a pot, it will be for your dad.

Went to visit on Tuesday afternoon at Blackppol Victoria and had a good chat with my dad about all sorts. He was on oxygen and in a bad way. He asked me to bring him in a radio so he could listen to the game. He also insisted that whatever happened I must go to the game. Told him I'd give City an extra loud shout for him.

After leaving him I spoke to the doctor who said he was really poorly and didn't have long left.

At 23.00 I had a call from a Policeman who was with my mum to tell me he'd passed.

I did go to the game as he wished but my heart really wasn't there.

As least it was quick and he didn't suffer too much which is a blessing with Cancer.
