trying to stay away from the transfer forum, but I
Now with all the hoo hah going around, saying that we are a one man team based on Sergio's recent exploits. What other teams past or present, league or international had a player you would say pulled them up off the floor by their collars, inspired the team with a piece of genius or good enough to win or save a match on their own?, making them essentially a one man team.

the rats are a no-mark team?

No such thing really as a one man team, you do get teams that are built solely around one players strengths, eg Holland and Robben, Liverpoooool chimps of April and the rabid dog, who will really suffer if that player is missing and they don't have a suitable replacement, but there's no such thing as a one man team.

Throughout their winning period the rags always seemed to be a one man team, even if it wasn't always the same man... every season they seemed to have one player who would play out of his skin and be almost unplayable and carry the rest of the team.

Maradona´s Napoli, and he won the 1986/87 Scudetto by himself rather than save a match. The first title for a southern Italian team.

Giroud at Montpellier, although there were some other ok players. But after he left they went from League winners, to mid table/relegation.

Two man team that season. Belhanda and Giroud.

I'm just afraid we'll see the back of Agüero at the end of the season.

Last two seasons one man teams:

Bale, gone at the end of the season.
Suarez, gone at the end of the season.

Belhanda was good, but didn't set the league a light without Giroud. I think he's at Dynamo Kiev now.

Difference between Bale and Suarez is we can offer a lot more than Liverpool and Spurs could to them two.

It really is a fallacy.

Even Messi, fake or Kun couldn't play against 11 opponents on their own and expect to come anywhere near winning.

From whom would Sergio have received the ball last night, if he were the only City player on the pitch?

This cracked me up.
