For all those that say you will welcome any new fan, you'll change your tune if they price you out of your seat.
Sadly, the more successful we are, the more they will, I posted about this 2 or 3 years ago, when people though SM would make our tickets cheap. Success brings higher prices, that's part of the model to beat FFP. I'll never be against new blues, but the reality is more success will mean less of us long term blues because we will be priced out, its already happened to a degree.

Exactly cleavers. People can be as magnanimous as they want when it doesn't directly affect them. But it will.

I have no gripe with new fans at all, but the short term vision on here is naive.

I'm seeing a bigger base growing in Adelaide too! Despite my name, been a supporter for a number of years, but now that city are getting more and more media attention here in Aus, us city fans are known as 'bandwagon jumpers' :(

If it wasnt for new fans over the years you might not have a seat to be priced out of.

Why not just cap the stadium at 30000, because thats how many blues were watching city when we were shit. How, without the new blues do you think we are going to finance the project? There is more chance of the seats being hiked if we cant fill the stadium or sell the merchandice. and thats when the owners may read posts like yours and think why bother and fuck off.

funny how as soon as we beat united theres about twenty new posts from different fans from countries saying theyve been city fans since 2007. Ha guess its what success brings

question to all of those fans though- a genuine question, why didnt you support us when we were shit if you love us so much now ( no harm or insult intended)

when we were really shit I wasnt born. and i've only been interested in football for a few years but I've supported City ever since I took an interest. I havent seen the dark days you have but I guarantee you I'll be there when they come. Sports have never been about success for me, same with City.

Not as really shit as under Frank Clark etc. Anyone remember the female city fan who flew from New York and was parading outside Wemby with a placard wanting to buy a ticket. She did the same at Blackburn as well. And that was when we were really shit.
But hey ho according to some on here she would not be welcome now because she isnt a manc who went to Marks in Gorton.

yeah, because its well known that our owners make billion pound investment decisions based on football forum posts

ahh, the Stuart Pearce era. Brings back memories. Brings back memories :P I'd never seen glory days so didn't think this was too bad personally. Was a bit edgy but still enjoyed supporting city then tbf.
