Fair enough, but you can do something about it or you can keep talking on here.
There’s plenty of disgruntled members but I don’t see them dying in a ditch over whether some other folk should attend City Matters sub committees or not
Talking on here and on other platforms is patently 'doing something about it', though. Because if I and others didn't, it wouldn't be clear that there was unhappiness about the decision and the way it was reached.
In terms of doing something practical about it, unless the suggestion is staging a coup d'état against the OSC exec, which I clearly have no intention of doing, I would suggest that my ability to do so is limited. Which is why the individuals taking direct action in boycotting CM have my full and unequivocal support.
Nevertheless, whether or not you boil it down to the failure to support CM colleagues in taking a necessary stance, the issue at play is, as I've already mentioned, a distinct lack of transparency in the way the OSC has arrived at this decision. I don't believe it's too much to ask for a full explanation of the process that led to this decision.
For what it's worth, I am very much in favour of other groups putting pressure on the club and standing up for supporters on matters that affect them, and hope they continue to do so. It's much needed.
