Open Training 12/08 & possible movements from 3rd tier for Chelsea game

I can't believe they want to charge us for the privelage of getting their safety certificate, if no fucker turns up then they'd be screwed. Come on city just issue tickets to those season ticket holders for nothing.

That would seem fair, but I think the problem is that if they're free a lot of people will take them and then not turn up. And if enough people decide not to come then we won't get the safety certificate. By charging then the assumption will be that those who pay will be more likely to be there.

I'm block 317, row N just got this mail about the test event no mention of relocating though, may not be the full third tier that is at risk?

I'm in 317 too, (row M) and had the email but there was no mention about relocating in my email. Presumably the certificate is for the whole tier (and they can't just open 317), so I'm a bit confused about this....

A much better approach would have been:
1/ We need this cert!! And need a number of people in the new tier to pass the test! If you help out we'll give you a voucher for a pie & a pint. (Your tea).
2/ We'll put on an open training session.
3/ We'll give you a voucher for an additional 10% discount at the store.
4/ Events and comps for the kids!
5/ Entry if FREE - Please confirm numbers by return of this mail!

Club need our support to get this done! Don't masquerade a test event as an attraction and then charge for it!!
Poor City!

I'm about half way up 316 and got the full e-mail about possible relocation.

i would imagine certain areas will already have been identified as could

potential "fail" certification due to a number of reasons. however, i would

suggest these would be small minority of total new seats. therefore even

if all these seating areas pass certification there will still be plenty of time

to sell the "potentially reserved" seating in east and colin bell for chelsea.

particularly as its chelsea.

Hopefully the safety certificate will be obtained without any problems, would look terrible if some sections of new stand were to be opened and others empty. You would think the safety certificate would mean either the entire third tier would be open or closed but judging by the differing emails that doesn't appear to be the case.

so if its not safe yet why are they asking me for £3 to risk my life? im very startled at this.

The e-mail clearly states the window for potential relocation doesn't open till tomorrow at 9am.

Thats the link to BUY tickets for open training.

The link for reserving your seat doesnt work

As we await confirmation of the success of the above test event, we are asking a number of Seasoncard holders whose seasonal seat is located in South Stand Level 3, including you, to provisionally select an alternative seat in the stadium for the Chelsea match.

You are not releasing your Seasoncard seat at this time. You will only be relocated to your chosen alternative seat if approval is not received after the test event. Your choosing of an alternative seat is a precautionary measure, and we appreciate your support and co-operation with this process.

Your window to select from any available seat in the stadium is open from 9am, Thursday 23 July until 5.30pm on Friday 24 July.
