Operation 'ONE END' and Season Tickets....

The issue, as far as segregation and security is as much to do with the entrances used as much as the seating sections. This would have to be the most convenient for the coach park in particular, which isn't going to be moved!

I'm not certain which are used at the moment, but this is what the club will have to work to.

Personally I'd like to see the away fans moved round the corner into 110, 111, 112, and 211, 212, 213...

Which I think would use entrances K1, K2 and maybe the J spiral...?

Anyone have the actual info so we can suggest workable alternatives...?

Diverse views, as is right. Mine is that the away fans should get the bottom tier at the corner of the South Stand and CB stand, similar to what we get at OT.

Obviously, they would be out of TV sight and would still be able to get to the coaches as they would come out under that Petrov poster. They should only given a couple of thousand seats on the hope that we can attract the extra 5-6k that we need to completely fill the ground. Seems simple to me but what do I know.

I really don't get this "keep them out of TV sight" thing either, it happens at too many grounds nowadays and I don't see why City should jump on this particular bandwagon, I see it as trying to condition people to expect just one set of fans in a stadium. The banter between home and away fans is crucial to a genuine football atmosphere.

And the away team have to be given around 3,000 seats if they want and that should not be reduced under any circumstances IMO.

villa did it, not for keeping them out of tv eye.

it was so the away side were never attacking 'their' end and own fans.

good idea, and seems to have worked for them.

I agree totally, stick the fans in the current singing section they should still be able to provide a safe entrance and exit for the away fans!

This seems a trivial request but to me there would be numerous advantages.

1) If the singing comes from one place only, it will be louder and catch on around the ground
2) Players and managers repeatedly say that the crowd make a big difference
3) It will attract young fans. I loved the singing more than the football when I was a kid
4) It will bond players to the club and make them want to play for us
5) It will intimidate some opposition

I really want to see this happen. Some money thrown at it can make it work. I also think that the away fans should be moved, just to make this logistically easier for City fans.

I can't see the away fans being moved as its easy to get them in and out of the ground.
This as been posted a few times, make the north stand a singing end and put the family stand in the 3rd tier i think this would be good for the atmosphere

This won't work. It would involve the relocation of 10,000+ fans.

Not many will want to move from near the away fans. It will have no impact.

Also, I think the club should call the end The Kippax.

Looking at the plans, in line with what I was proposing, I think that the away fans should be in the lower tier between around aisles 121 and 119, using spiral R [don't they do that now?] and so giving them equal access to the coach park.

As for the spiral J idea, you are talking about moving most of us from the old Kippax with decades of season cards/tickets behind us as opposed to the relative newbies from the old North Stand now in the South Stand. I don't want to get into factional arguments, but time spent must mean something, surely?

we've seen from that lad who emailed the club that they are clearly looking at doing something.

Can anyone give me a link to this and who he contacted? I have tried with sensible e-mails about 2 years ago without any response?

And here's another thing. Forget all this "we like the banter with away fans" crap ie. "ooooooh, you don't have many fans do you, that's a silly hat you're wearing, when did you last win something, what a strange accent you've got". What a load of bollocks and absolute tosh you childish wimps. Banter is what you have in a pub, on away days, message boards, work. Do you think the most atmospheric grounds in this country and Europe do so because " aah, well it's all about the banter with away fans"? Try standing next to the Ultras at the San Siro with a flare up your nose, or in Galatasaray's Ali Sami Yen in your City chainmail waiting for some chit-chat, or standing on your seat in the Kop with a sky blue and white bobble hat on, or next to a 'singing' section in the Stretford End with a sky blue rosette saying "hey, how about some banter, lads?" They don't want banter!!!! They want to SING!!!!!!!!!! And guess what......? Their team usually wins.

Right well clearly the club want to do something here, but don't know exactly what to do. So WE need to do it instead.

I accept that all the people in the current 'singing sections' *shudder* are looking to wind up the away fans and all that shit. Fine. Stay there. Now, we need all the other people from around the ground to come together and relocate in the North Stand Level 1 - 136-137. There's 28 rows which go about 40 seats across - so over a 1000 seats there. Which although sounds a lot, is only a 1/3 of the average we tend to take away with us. We wouldn't need that many initially though, only about 30 people who are willing to sing PRO-City songs together, and gradually more and more people will join in and come to the North Stand.

Field of Dreams quotes and all that shit.

So I propose that we get as many season ticket holders that are willing to leave behind there current seats and join in with a ONE END atmosphere.

Not a petition as such, but if we gave the club the names and customer numbers of all those that are looking to do this, then surely they can look into it NOW so that by August we will all be seated together.
