OK.

So here's a solution. When we play the likes of Bolton, Pompey, Fulham, etc or any other club that want or can only sell an allocation of less then a 1000 tickets, why not put them in the top tier of the away end and give the bottom tier of the away end to home fans, thuse creating a home end. (2 ends full of City fans)

And don't tell me it can't be done. The top tier of the away end has been given over to home fans before. Obviously all these meetings didn't look at a situaion like the above which can be done without affecting season ticket holders and away fans.

City should get back together, sit down, discuss this and implement this for next season.

COME ON CITY, THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX FFS!!

Spot on!!

Bolton Fulham Blackburn Pompey etc all only brought as many fans that would fit in the away 2nd tier section and we could and should bridge the gap between the singers and the southers with City fans! The Blue Alliance can HAVE that area, seasoncard holders can opt to move there for these games (you can in cup games so why not Prem?), none seasoncard holders will want to buy tickets here as there would be a buzz and an atmosphere there and we can really start to bring an atmosphere in for these games!

the big games with big crowds and away attendances usually have a good atmospheres! it's these games where we play bottom half teams with lesser away support that I sit there thinking "I'm bored!" and THIS would change the atmosphere of these games! we usually beat these teams anyway so where we score 2 goals, with a greater atmopshere we might score 3 or 4 as there is a greater encouragement brought to our team by us the fans - it's what we're flamin there for anyway int it!?

The solution is so easy its untrue. Swap 110/111 with the away fans. Then at cup matches give them 110/111 plus the old away end.
This means we still have half of the south stand plus the majority of the kippax. This will not effect fuck alll prices will still be the same and everything. Plus the coaches are right there for the away fans to fuck off.

Seriously what is wrong with that?

I cannot understand why they cant do this. Even if they moved them across one block it would be a lot better than it is now.

It may just be me but why one end ?

the Kippax was not and end and it stood us in good stead for 70 year plus we already have two complete sides and one end so why move anyone ?

I agree!
Rename the East Stand to Kippax and make Level 1 the Singing section, blue alliance section or whatever you want to call it. Advise those currently sat there that this may result in more people standing up, singing, swearing etc and give them the opportunity to relocate for next season.

And this!! I sit in East Stand Level 1, Block 105 and I'd be well up for this!

If the club get this sorted and make sure when teams with small away attendances come that we fill in the gaps with City there could be an atmopshere for our club!

we CANNOT just say "oh well the club are respecting s/c holders who don't want to relocate by leaving it as it is!" cos that solves nothing and there will be thousands of blues disillusioned with our CRAP atmopshere in many games!

however you look at it a great deal of season ticket holders will be put out, i have always said people will want to relocate to be in or make a new singing section, its just not true, a lot of people like the stadium just as it is, i dont, some on here dont but a lot do.

I 'sit', and sit being the word in SS upper. Nobody stands and they wouldn't let you stand there anyway. The away fans tend to sit as well, unlike the away fans in the lower level who always stand. It did look good when United stood in the top tier, but the club won't allow us to stand, even if we wanted too.

The answer is above. Put the away fans in the top tier when their ticket sales are less then a thousand and give the bottom tier to the home fans. That should cover the following games. Obviously some of these clubs will be relegated this season.

Portsmouth
Bolton
Wigan
West Ham
Blackburn
Fulham
Birmingham?

That's 7 matches were we could trial Operation One End to see if it has any impact on the atmosphere. Hopefully this will be looked at for next season, if the subject/agenda isn't already dead?

its not that simple, we have 2 give up 3000 tickets even if the away team dont use them

No we don't.

Other clubs (Chelsea, Bolton and Spurs et al) give you more tickets after you sell the first lot... we could do that as well.

It all comes down to the fact that the club aren't arsed, and it's too much like hard work for them to change it.

I'd love someone to do an analysis of our cup performances in recent years when we have given up the whole end to away fans.

Off the top of my head, Stoke City, the Rags, Forest, West Ham, Spurs... all took the full end, split the City support all over the ground... and we played shit in all these games!

I'd be grateful if anyone could do a list and that may show that the crap atmosphere is actually costing us vital games. Maybe then the club will wise up...

we should move away fans next to the access tunnel and corner ?it would act as a natureal barrier on one side.
