Operation One End

Is it on for 2015?

Relocate the away fans to the new South Stand 3rd tier and join the 2 singing sections together along the South Stand Lower Tier.

If it happens I hope the club consults with the fans to create a *true* singing section, similar to those throughout mainland Europe.(especially Germany)

Just one more thought. What's the chance of safe standing being trialed in 2015?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

The East/South corner should be joined by the South Stand City fans. This should be done by swapping the South Stand away section with the South Stand City section. So, City's vocal areas would be 109-115. The away fans would then be in 116-118. I've even looked at the police barriers on leaving the stadium and all the police would need to do is put them at a slight angle so the away fans can get to their coach park easily:
Like this \\ instead of like this || with the barriers. It's simple as...

The City vocal area would still be near to the away fans for all the banter they like to have, so no problem there. We'd have a joined forces vocal section that would be twice as loud as either of them are currently, so a big positive there too. And the away fans would be tucked away where you can't see them on tele, so another good thing as you'd just see a larger mass of colourful, stood-up, noise making City fans insetad - a huge plus! Oh and those from Level 3 wont have to move when they really don't want to.

Completely agree. We have to try this - much much better than sticking away fans in L3. If this doesn't improve the atmosphere then we may have to admit that we are pretty shit :D

I really dont get this at all why do people think moving people around will make them sing more? so totally moving the away fans didnt work so we will just budge them over a bit,? give it a try then wait and see how its exactly the same as now but with the away fans on the other side of the goal to where they are now, an atmosphere isnt created by which seats people sit in.

Can't understand why we don't give the away side 109,119 and 209,210 block. If they need more then give them 107,207 as well. This would move their fans too the side of the pitch instead of an end, and our singing end would be much bigger. If the TV cameras are a problem then either switch the away fans to the Colin Bell stand opposite (121-123 & 221-223) this or put the cameras on the opposite side. That way it will always look as though the ground is full of City fans, and when we play the likes of Fulham or West Brom, the ground will still look full, even though the away side doesn't sell out their allocation.

we already have three ends to ourselves in the ground adding another isnt goin to suddenly make our current crowd into a cross between dortmund and poznan

Exactly. We have 1 end and 2 sides already yet havent made use of them

If away fans didn't move I'd consider moving from block 110 to SS level 3, hoping that other singers moved 2.

There'd be 6,000 blues together which is the most we can get in 1 tier.
Also, tickets would be cheaper.

Would be interested to know how we'll atmosphere spreads from the upper tier compare to level 1.

When united put a second tier on the Stretford End, most of the singers moved there from the K Stand

It's all to do with the positioning of refreshment and toilet facilities. There has to be so many per fans in any segregated section. Perhaps that doesn't work behind the blocks that you mention..?

Surely the fact the away fans are inbetween the singing sections is the reason they are singing sections if the away fans are moved won't fans feel less inclined to sing? They can't really sing at each other ?

Sing about the bloody team not the opposition fans then.
