Operation 'Stay to the end'

If we win at Everton the atmosphere for those last two games will be electric

You mean like the Sunderland game, when we also had a chance of winning the title?
I suppose it comes down to just how many 'proper blues' are there.
I'm sure some on here would be in favour of drawing up a list of early leavers, so that they can be dealt with at a later date by some kind of Bluemoon Match Crimes Commission.

Times have changed I'm afraid to say but not that much as there was a mass exodus at Maine rd too sometimes .....for good reason too.

Look... this is a very emotive subject and you can understand both sides of the argument. What I would say is that us fans are in a very fortunate position at the moment to be watching a City team of such quality who are right at the top of the mix when it comes to winning things. The history of the club demands that the majority of fans stay until the end because the City fans have always shown their support through good and bad times.
Realistically, when the ground capacity is increased it's going to be a fact that the 'prawn sandwich' brigade will become a part of the audience... or the suits who can't find a couple of hours in their day to pay attention to a football match. The transport system and travel home is shite for sure. Although the scouse bastards have got on my nerves over the past few weeks with their blind ferver and fanatical behaviour in some way you have to applaud them for the fact that they show their appreciation for the Club with time and attention. They stick by the Shankly adage of football being more important then life or death. We know that is a load of rubbish but what is buried in the message is that the fans can spur the players to greater heights and that doesn't change no matter if the tickets prices are £10 or £50. The fact is there is a direct link between the fans going home early and a lack of atmosphere in the ground. It is all about commitment. Am I going to call a father a c@*t for leaving early with his kids..... certainly not. But by the same token more people need to be singing from the rafters and showing their appreciation for a team that is a joy to watch!!!

I'm embarrassed at our early darters at every home game. why would you not want to show your appreciation to the team you are supposed to love. It was a given that you stayed till the end to cheer the lads off after a hard fought win. they used to be the minority, but this new breed of city fans are ruining what i have loved about us as a club and fans. I guess this is what our recent success brings as well as an extra 10-15k of new fans who would disappear as quickly as they came.

This thread is all about fans pretending they play a big part in the result of a game. I'm sorry to debunk this popular myth but it's nonsense. The players don't give a fuck. They don't even notice. They're concentrating on the game. Give me a link to one quote where a player has said it affects them or forever hold your peace.

This uber fan stuff is risible if it's coming from anyone over the age of 16. It's also totally disingenuous.

You moaning minnies only care about yourselves. Your insecure personalities can't cope with the fact that some rag at work might make fun of you because there are empty seats near the end of the match. If he makes fun of you and you don't like it, hit him, don't come on here insulting other blues. Who cares what other people think, are we children ?

Its getting worse, OK an away game but at palace 5 people in front of us left on 70 mins, tourists by the way. Blues but tourists. With tickets hard to come by its a shame, proper blues should have had those seats.
Our players played out of their skin and they deserve our backing till end. Its no good singing it if we Dont fucking take part.

For up to £200,000 a week, I would expect the players to play for 90 minutes even if I left early.
Do staff at your carpet shop down tools as soon as you leave?
I stay to the end virtually every game, except for things like family birthdays, or hospital visits, but what I do take exception to is halfwits questioning my loyalty to a club I have held a season ticket for for 40 odd years if I don't see the final whistle, as it has precisely fuck all to do with them, and I'm sick and tired of folk having a go at fellow blues in some kind of Bluemoon Biggest Blue Top Trumps competition.
Some of the clowns on here will be handing out songsheets soon, and fining folk for not singing.
And just what makes someone a 'proper blue?'
Just do your own thing, and let others do theirs.

Brings up biggest blue top trumps after saying been a season ticket holder for 40 years.

40 years??? Well you should know better :)

Of course its personal choice but traffic isn't really an excuse unless you have an appointment or unruly kids as some of yous have pointed out.if your next port of call is home then thats a shit excuse.

Whether a player realises it or not, atmosphere does have an effect on performance. Just because a player doesn't consciously recognise it doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

Most of you die hard uber blues won't give a fuck for my reasons for leaving early, and that's your prerogative , but I'll put the comfort of my son in front of any one of your opinions.
On the occasions I have stayed till the end getting home has been a absolute nightmare, we have no option but to get the tram in or park on official car park at times when his mum is not dropping us off and picking us up, on the occasions we have stayed till the end we have been on the car park for over a hour, this after leaving the ground a good ten minutes after the end, we have waited around in the rain on a packed station for trams for 20 minutes then been crammed on like sardines
One occasion we was stuck on a tram in the Asda tunnel for 15 minutes whilst the traffic died down
This is no doubt a problem with the way the traffic and trams are managed that needs to be addressed, and the state of the stadium at full time should indicate to the club that something needs to be done, if we all stayed to the end and just excepted that fact we are going to be treated no better then cattle then this will not change.

I rarely take my lad to night games unless we are playing a iconic team, ( yes my son is one of them you like to call cunts for not attending night games) and do stay to the end if I feel like it, as its not a problem for me to be crammed on a tram or I can park further away from the ground as I'm able to walk a bit further, so I have seen the mass exodus the last ten minutes, and agree it doesn't look good, but surly that should encourage the club to do something about it..

And for those moaning about people getting up spoiling there view when leaving, do me a favours, I bet you don't give a fuck about standing up blocking the old dears view or young lads view when we are on the attack or have a corner or your singing....

For blues to think there the uber blues because they stay longer then other blues and think that gives them the wright to call others cunts twats etc then I'll suggest your not the uber blues you think you are...

I'm not the one judging others here - they are the ones judging me.
Some imbecile posted about 15,000 Johnny come lately's which, according to him, a poster of less than a week, we have gained of late.
I was merely making the observation that some of us have spend a small fortune watching the blues over the decades, and don't take kindly to being told what to do by newbies, or anyone else for that matter.
Just what is is about individual choice that people have an issue with on here?
I seems a relatively simple concept to grasp to me.
