On the blog now:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/Blog/index.php/2013/03/27/opposition-view-newcastle-united-3/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/Blog/ind ... -united-3/</a>

Thanks to Ed from The Newcastle United Blog for taking the time to answer the questions.

I like Newcastle but that was piss-poor verdict on our club. We've spent big money. Yes. Wages. Yes. Trying to bring it under control. Yes. Your point being? The sky is blue and sometimes my turds take more than one flush, he might as well have said that because it would be exactly as relevant.

Makes out like them making a profit is the be all and end all.

RATHER BE CHAMPIONS

Football is a sport historically, in sport you aim to win not take part.

Football is a business now in the present, in business you aim to make money.

There is the confusion. Add Arsenal into the mix too. Fans have fuck all to brag about so resort to championing being a profitable business, that is great if you are a housebuilder or carpet busienss etc. Not good if you're a team competing in a sport where you win sweet f.a.

Anyway, I remember them paying out lashings on fees and wages under Keegan as manager. They came second and fizzled out. Funny how they speak little of this.

Does her really think people have never heard of Santo or Sissoko?

Sissoko was on hsi way to Everton in the summer apparently. His contract was ending and Newcastle stole the march on the player.

Santo, I assume you mean Santon? If so he was known by the footballing world after playing at Inter, just like Coutinho before he went to Liverpool.
